That..I would like to see, honestly. I wish it was done more, or it already is but I haven't run into it as frequently as I would like. I don't know, but I do love seeing..I guess dark!Charles is the most common term? I mean not necessarily evil but definitely not the happy-go-lucky-positive guy that we usually see. I like seeing his more..'human' moments, I guess I could call it.
And definitely. D: I don't think Charles got explored quite enough in the movie either. But, only so much you can do with a money and time limit. fjdkl.

I saw you mention that to someone else. XD I thought you did good though! I actually really liked your Erik, he was very in character, especially given the situation they were in. Oh! And I loved that you included his..murder-tendencies as well, which I forgot to mention. It was subtle but a very good touch. And I adored your Charles as well. XD They were both great.
And definitely. XD I love that combination though, it was perfect. Like the part when he asked Erik if he was attracted to him and Erik thought of him as looking more..well, curious, lol. It's just so him.

I have a fic rattling around where Erik visits Charles post-divorce and despite Erik keeping the helmet on Charles knows exactly the right things to say to just break him. And he does. Particularly I'd have Erik beg Charles for forgiveness once he realizes Charles is paralyzed. Charles, after having some time to think about it, would have accepted that the bullet was a complete accident. However, he would really want Erik to apologize to him for not listening to Charles' begging him to stop the missiles. And Erik of course would still be thinking there was nothing to apologize for, as far as that was concerned. And then Charles would just rake him over the coals for it, saying "If you couldn't stop for humanity, or for decency, or for what's right... I hoped you would stop for me, because I asked you to. And you wouldn't. And that's why I won't let you stay here again, Erik." OH GOD THE ANGST ugggggh lol

I really hope that we get at least a few cut scenes on the DVD that are a couple minutes long and explore more Erik or Charles. Because yeah, I would have loved to see an example of Charles just really fucking someone's shit up. XD

Thank you re: the murder tendencies. Erik is a murderer! People forget that! Of course he's dead sexy and wretchedly vulnerable underneath his icy facade, and of course those men deserved it, but still. Killed dudes. Will continue to kill dudes. Even with fluff I like to acknowledge that.

Charles is a complete tool sometimes XD One reason I adore him! Poor Erik, having to deal with Charles' incessant flirting and thinking he's imagining it the whole time.

I'd be down with a white wedding. Can I wear something like one of Kevin Bacon's fabulous white suits but in a sexy androgynous cut? I could go with tropical.

I really need to doodle Fassbender with a tail. Except that asshole is entirely too difficult to draw for some reason. Too much teeth and forehead hahahaha.

I mean, if you can't or don't want to it's all good, I won't be all "GRRRR" but it sounds interesting and I'd like to read it if I could. No pressure though! Yes, exactly. I actually forgot about it until I saw it mentioned a while ago in another fiction and then in yours and just. Yes. It does need to at least be acknowledged more. It's kind of in how he holds himself, too. He's more stiff, guarded, alert, even when he's 'relaxed' he's still tense and aware of everything so vividly it's just jfdkls. And I'm sure killing others is a part of it, like a hunter of sorts.
I love to see that sort of thing brought up about Charles, too. I mean, I don't know if he's killed anyone with his power ever, but I love reading fictions where he has, either recently or when he was younger or what have you. I love seeing Erik handle something like that, or feel the memories of it from Charles or something. Where Charles isn't quite the goody-two-shoes everyone thinks he is, especially Erik. Sorry I think I started rambling there. fjdksl.

Oh, by all means. We could even throw dresses out the window and have a 60's/mafia-esque white wedding in snazzy suits and everything. Hmm..but the sand. It gets everywhere. Nng.

LOL. Man. I've tried drawing both of them a few times but I've pretty much thrown out the window trying to get them to look exactly like they do in real life. The only things I really try to keep consistent are McAvoy's nose and Fassbender's slender-ness. fjdksl.

I haven't seen a fic like that, it's one I intend to write! :-D Except, not happy face. More like, OH GOD ANGSTY SADNESS FACE. Another bit I want to put in, Erik brokenly asking Charles how Charles knows just what to say to hurt him, especially when he's unable to read Erik's mind. Then I'd have Charles turn and look at Erik with those eyes -- cold, stark, and yet bright with tears -- and say softly, "You forget, Erik, that I used to know you rather well." OH GOD INFINITE SADNESS

I like that way you describe Erik, yes, he is always on alert even when he's being rather a smartass. I don't like fics where he's insanely cuddly or totally cool with, like, the kids knowing he and Charles are ZOMGINLOVE or whatever. Because he'd be totally secretive and weird and awkward about it and would have no idea how to deal with those emotions like a normal human being, lol.

I'd have to do a lot of thinking hard to write a fic where Charles kills someone with his power. I had another fic idea where Charles accidentally wipes Erik's mind and is just hideously gutted by it, even as he has to deal with trying to put him back right. I'd like to see incidents like that, where he loses control and something horrible happens, as the catalyst for his hair loss, too. I know none of us likes to think of a bald James McAvoy lol, but Patrick Stewart is still fuckin' awesome, so yeah, I'd like to see some mention of how he gets to that bald state, hehe.

I am so all over the snazzy suits. Sand won't get everywhere if it's on a cobblestone beach though! Though that isn't exactly tropical and is bound to be windy and then we'd lose our awesome fedoras. DILEMMA.

I can get McAvoy pretty well, between his eyes and the lines underneath them, his hair, and his nose. Fassbender is just impossible. His mouth I can get, if he's showing a lot of teeth, but his hair is absolutely impossible and he always ends up having too much or not enough forehead in my doodles. Those jerks! You know you..do have a point. He wouldn't, would he. If anything he'd probably be supremely uncomfortable. XD And..wary and guarded and secretive. Well, more secretive. And yes, I don't think he'd know how to deal with it like a normal person, like you said. Which actually reminds me, I keep forgetting that he was once married and had a daughter. It's just so..his current image is just so not that it's crazy! To think he used to be a happily married father at one point and now he's a lone-wolf killer with severe trust issues, among a bajillion other issues and just. Eee. I think Fassbender put it well, something like "He tried living the normal life and it just didn't work out". jfdkls.

I..I can see it as being more possible when he's a child, since he hasn't learned to control himself, at least not as well, at that point. But sometimes I think it wouldn't be so hard when he's older, either, if he's pushed into the right corner for it.
Oh goodness. D: More heart wrenching, but that does sound interesting. And yeah, I don't think anyone likes thinking about the hair loss but you're right, Sir Patrick Stewart is awesome so..yes. It is doable.
There's this other fiction I found a bit ago that I still haven't finished yet, but it does have a bald Charles in it. It's about them both being in the camps and escaping and Charles does remain bald even while Erik's hair grows back. Needtogetbacktoreadingthatone.
Oh! There's also the fact that apparently 'Magneto' helps Charles build the Cerebro that's in the mansion, I..am still wondering how/why that came about. I don't think I've seen anyone cover that idea yet, at least not in my searching/rummage so far.

Hmm..this is true..WAIT. WAIT. THE 'DIVORCE' TOOK PLACE ON A BEACH. Maybe the beach idea is a no go. It might be cursed. Things could get ugly. Ships could burn. I don't. I don't know man. Could be bad.

Oooh. Yes the features are good on that one. The lines under his eyes, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed those. And the nose is done well, and his neck. The lips too!
And yeah, his hair...D: The back of it is hard to get too. And his nose. I can't figure out his nose. And uhhh..I think this is probably the best out of the ones I've done? Muahahahaha, angst! *delights in it* It's odd because usually I'm an angst whore, but there's so much angst already inherent in Erik and Charles -- and we know what they will turn out to be like, as old men, and the angst that's there, too -- that I haven't been able to bear to write it yet.

Oh dear, where did you hear that rumor? I liked Moira perfectly well -- I thought she had a lot of gumption, especially when she first finds the mutants in Vegas. But there was just no chemistry between her and Charles. If there was, I'd be fine with that -- I usually tend to ship canonically. But there just wasn't! She had a scene with Charles in the bar where she was like "um don't hit on me," she worked with him in a couple CIA scenes, and she was there for one or two training scenes, and that was pretty much it except for the beach. They didn't have any bonding or tender alone time or MANLY TEARS. So the kiss just really came out of nowhere for me and I hope they don't try to justify it. Instead, I want the drag scene, dammit, and I want maybe some more discussion of Charles' power.

Marvel has so many fucked up and bizarre timelines and alternate universes and reboots that I have no qualms about ignoring the wife/kid for Erik (who is often Max, anyway) in fanfic. The movies ignore Charles' various girlfriends/evil twins/family/etc. as well, pretty much, so I'm okay with doing the same. In a series where there's so much retconning anyway I'm okay leaving that be. XD

If you find that fic where Charles' hair doesn't grow back after being in a camp, do link it! It sounds deliciously angsty and perfectly plausible.

And yes, Magneto was one of the original builders of Cerebro with Charles in the comics, and apparently also may have weak, latent telepathic powers too. I haven't seen anyone really explore that much but I wish Magneto had been able to help with Cerebro in this one. Oooh, what if they put a cut scene in of Charles being all headachey after Cerebro? I know a lot of people have written hurt/comfort for Cerebro but I'd love to see a smidge of that on film. XD

I really like the posture on Erik in the first and second links, I'm so lazy about drawing more than the head and shoulders of people hahaha. It's nice to see other people do more than that. XD I think I like the first Charles' hair best, it captures that delightful McAvoy messiness to it. XD

Oh that's true. D: There's already an abundance of angst. I mean, I'm all for it, but I get what you mean. I do like reading some that end well, or at least satisfying enough instead of the way the movie ended sort of thing. fjkdls.

I think on tumblr. Someone was talking about it but I'm not sure if it's true since the DVD itself doesn't come out for at least a month, a little more than a month really. So rumors at this point are pretty iffy in how true they are.
And yeah, true. I didn't..well. I guess I'm mix opinionated. Especially after watching the 90's cartoon. I just. I can appreciate how well she handles things and her readiness to deal with crap that she doesn't really want to deal with, but I was a bit annoyed that she was..essentially useless and blocked the tender moment of the satellite scene, after Erik turned it. fjdkls.
And you're right, that kiss I felt came out of nowhere too. If anything I thought they were just..'hey we have the same enemy let's do this together', not 'I'm secretly falling for [/BATS EYELASHES]'. And yes, no manly tears either. But hey! At least Erik/Charles is canon.

That's...good point. Yes. I honestly haven't read any of the comics, aside from the snippets people have on the internet, like a panel here or a panel there, but I did not know his name was originally Max Eisenhardt. And when I was watching the old cartoon I was so confused on why Charles kept calling him 'Magnus' I just. Erik. Please stick with Erik. It suits him so much better, it just feel right. I haven't a hard time handling his other names. fdjksl. But I do kind of like the father thing! It kind of..gives a new twist to him, and considering that he and Charles pretty much love each other I find that interesting, especially since apparently being homosexual was a crime back then. I think it's..interesting how Erik..even given his past with Magda allows himself to feel something like that for another, and for a guy, given the time they were in when it started. Though I feel that their..feelings transcend gender, honestly, it's so much more than 'oh hey they're both guys'. It's so much deeper. And I'm rambling. fjdksl.
