List Your Top Six Favorite TV shows ( in no particular order )

1. The X-Files
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
3. Firefly
4. Angel
5. Batman: the Animated Series
6. Er... Mystery Science Theater 3000

1. Who is your favourite character from #2?

This is tough, as I love me a gazillion characters on that series. I really love Willow, Giles, and Buffy, but missteps with their characterizations make me give the award to Spike. I've loved every incarnation of Spike from snarky demon to impotent do-gooder to lovesick puppy (both as Spike and William) to sex-crazed desperate man to souled Spike. Plus, he's hot. ;)

2. Who is your least favourite character from #4?

Well, as I've only seen Season 5 of Angel, I'd have to say Eve. She was annoying, childish, and smug, and I'm always highly irritated by people like that in both real life and fannish things.

3. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?

Ooh, that's interesting. Perhaps Mulder and Scully are called to investigate a mysterious occurance in Gotham City -- something with the Mad Hatter, perhaps, or the Scarecrow, both are villains whose mindfucks are along the lines of those seen in The X-Files. Mulder's especially drawn to the case because he knows Gotham has a mysterious defender calling himself Batman. He's determined for Batman to be mystical or supernatural in some way, but Scully wins when they discover that Batman is simply an extraordinary man, and not something other than human. Of course, Batman declines to mention things like, say, Ra's al Ghul and the Lazarus Pit, which are rather more on the supernatural side... hehe.

4. What is your favourite ship from #6?

Um... Torgo/Stupid Wife! Or Dr. Frank and his assistant?

5. If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be?

Er. Uh. River might have a hilarious time confusing the crap out of one of the 'bots. Let's say Crow, for shits and giggles.

6. If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be, and what would you do?

Wesley, because guh. (But barring Wes, I'd spend the day with Fred and hang out in the lab, then go out for drinks and talk about boys.) He and I would prowl around the library, looking for wacky books, and then I'd tell him he needed to get a move-on on Fred. Heh. I guess this'd be early S5 Wesley.

7. If you could change one thing about #2's plot line, what would you change?

I would have made it clearer that Willow's thirst for magic wasn't because magic = crack, but because Willow, as a nerdy, quiet girl in the beginning, craved power and respect, and found that she could get it by becoming the strongest witch ever. I really liked the way that plotline started, with Giles calling her a rank amateur and the fights she and Tara had, but they really did drop the ball there. Aside from that? I'd give more time to the Scoobies in Season 7 and take time away from all but a few key Potentials (and I would make those key ones really interesting, and not horrendous bitches).

8. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5, and why you like the relationship between them.

Hm. Well, the relationship that's most developed on the show is that between Batman and Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne is charming, confident, friendly, and seems open despite the vast secret he guards. Yet he's haunted in his own home by the spectres of his parents, the crime that besets his city. As Bruce Wayne he can do nothing but make donations to charitable causes that he hopes will ease the struggles he sees daily. But when Bruce Wayne dons the costume that makes him Batman, he's suddenly cool, dangerous, dark, not someone to cross. You have to wonder which of them is dominant, and if that outcome is good or bad -- if he's more Bruce Wayne than Batman, does Gotham suffer? If he's more Batman than Bruce Wayne, does that mean he's lost a little of his humanity? Which is the heavier price to pay? One man's solitude, or a city in danger?

9. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?

Ouch. Um... probably Mulder. It would decimate Scully if he died, especially from something as dumb as drowning. Mal's drowning, while awful, I think his crew could handle. They're tough.

10.If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?

I don't remember Angel's title character order :-P

11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6, what would the character be like and what would their role be?

Torgo would be a regular, for sure.

12. What happens in your favorite episode of show #2?

My favorite generally vacillates around The Body, Restless, and Once More With Feeling. Right now I'm gonna go with Restless. Buffy, Xander, Willow, and Giles fall asleep and have dreams in which they're stalked by a primal evil. A man with cheese on his head appears, there's bizarre and ethereal and frightening imagery (for example, the kitten, huge and bounding; Riley, offering Buffy a gun; the black and white of Spike's dream, Xander's heart of darkness, the Greek on Tara's back, Buffy's mom being cemented in a la the Cask of Amantiado), there's hilarious bits like Buffy's mom seducing Xander and Spike and Giles swinging together on a swingset ("Higher! A Watcher scoffs at gravity!")... it's great stuff.

13. If you could kill off one of the characters of #1, who would it be and how would you do it?

Most of the important people kinda died already on that show. :-P Actually, I'd kill off Mulder. The Mulder we got back after his abduction was an asshole who had all the worst qualities of the old Mulder and none of the good. And there just didn't seem to be any point to him anymore. :( Also, I'd much rather Scully be alone than wind up with Mulder in another hotel room, kissing his fingers and being weird and crap. >_<

14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?

Haha, definitely 3! Spaceships, ports, colony worlds... that, and as Batman is a cartoon, well, there ain't much set to visit.

15. So, I saved the best question for last. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?

*tries to think of who up there is least fucked-up* Ah-ha! Simon! All-around nice guy, damn smart, pretty, and is capable of forming strong bonds with other people.

That was fun!
