Zzzzz......
Instead of promising everyone Saturday LJ entries, I should have just said that I would do an entry "once a week". Because so far, I haven't been very good at writing up entries on Saturdays. Mostly because I've gotten extra hours at the library and haven't had a Saturday off in a couple of weeks. Bleah. But oh well. This will be a short entry for now, because I need to head to bed soon. But I may have time to update later in the week! :-)
Kyle and I participated in "Earth Hour" last Saturday night. We could have done something romantic, but because we are giant nerds, we decided to play Risk by candlelight. It was actually pretty fun, even though Risk isn't my favourite game in the world (it brings back memories of playing it with a bunch of strategic, competitive guys and I was the sole female...........). Luna was of course fascinated by the whole thing. I was just relieved that she didn't decide to strut across the Risk board. The Risk board is probably the worst board game ever for a cat to lay on....But instead, she just watched us play and stared, fixated, at the fire we had lit in the fireplace and the candles..........
Quick update on other things:
-Finally finished Twilight series. Breaking Dawn was a good conclusion to the story, although I do have some annoyances with it. But I am prepared to discuss those with Tracy, whom I am hoping to call soon so we can gab about the books (she read them too, at the same time as me!).
-Going to see Hey Rosetta on Friday night at the Starlite Club, which I am looking forward to. I'm also hopefully going to see The Dears in May.............they would be an awesome band to see live, yep..
-I saw an excellent fantasy movie the other night called Stardust. It has Michelle Pfeiffer, Claire Danes and Robert De Niro. It's been out for a few years now, I think. I hadn't seen a good fantasy movie in a while, so this really fit the bill!
Ok, my eyes are starting to droop. I actually DO have this Saturday off, so I will try and write more then!
