Maybe not always...

Okay, sometimes the Front Range isn't beautiful at all. Like today, for instance, when I couldn't see it. It was behind all those clouds dumping rain and snow and everything. Walking to lunch today, I even had some bits that had frozen on the way down bouncing off of me.

Then again, driving home I could see the bottom parts of the nearest mountains, where clouds swirling in the canyons become fog as the ground rises around them. Fascinating, and in its own monochromatic way, lovely.

There are days I can't see even that much. When it's cold enough, the low clouds freeze onto everything they touch, and the next days sunrise is pure magic.

The view out my office window -- yes, I have an office! With a window! (and certain sales and marketing guys at Pentax were more than a little annoyed that engineering got the second floor, where there are only offices and labs, no cubes) (except for where the IS guys are) -- oops, got distracted. The view out my office window is (drum roll, please) the Coors plant. Well, it could be worse. There are mountains rising behind the plant, even though the window faces east. One of these days I'll have to try to figure out the local topology, preferably by climbing something high enough to see more of it. Say, Lookout Mountain.

Okay, I know it won't last forever, but right now I am really enjoying feeling good.
