To All Students in my Study Break Area

Welcome back from Thanksgiving!
I have a real treat for you at tonight's study break - an evening of
British humour.
I will be showing the stand-up show of Ricky Gervais called 'Animals'.
(Ricky Gervais is the writer and star of the BBC mockumentary 'The Office',
if you have seen or heard of that.)

It is hilarious - and it is only available in Britain (because of that we
have to play it on a computer), so you will not be able to see this
anywhere else.

I have to warn you also that it is very un-pc (plus adult language is
used). Those of a sensitive disposition take note.
(Disclaimer - The views expressed are not those of either the management or
the sponsors.)

(Of course, you might not find it funny at all and just conclude that all
Brits are rude, offensive and vulgar.)

Good food will be served (unless they only have bad food in the supermarket
this week, that is).

Tim Harris,
Faculty Fellow.

I got this e-mail when I woke up (a few minutes ago). I adore my faculty fellow (to define, faculty fellows host events like the one mentioned above for different dorms. Tim Harris, a professor in History, is ours). At the Open Mic study break, no one really did anything, so he just sat and played Beatles songs the whole time. He has a fantastic British accent. Blackbird was adorable-ly good.

It's pouring rain outside, a little cold in my room. My bed is really comfortable. I have a cup of tea. I'm listening to Dweller on the Threshold. I could go back to sleep.
