Today was the first day of the rest of my life....I hope
So today was good....I finally had my first appointment with the surgeon and it was great. It gave me new hope and was very reassuring. I had commented before about how many steps the surgery can be done in and stuff like that....And Dr. Doody (cool name, huh?) said that he ONLY does the surgery in one step. He's never had a failure....The one step has been successful every time! Isn't that exciting? So I think I'm actually ready. Now I'm just a little nervous about after the surgery. He said it would be very painful for a while and that when I wake up, I'm gonna wish I had never gotten it done. He said I'd probably loose about 10 pounds and won't be able to eat anything for a while. But the tubes and stuff will hopefully be taken out after a couple of days so that won't be too bad....And he said they'll make me get up and walk around by the 3rd day. So they seem to move everything along pretty quickly. Soooo.....we're shooting for the end of this month...Which is kinda crappy timing. :-( I don't think Chris is gonna be able to visit. That makes me pretty sad....but I'll be alright. Well that's about all for now...I'll let you know more as I find it out! ByebYE
