My First Concert

Mar 15, 2006 22:16

Okay, so as some of you may or may not know, I went to my very first CONCERT last night-Brad Paisley, Terri Clark and Johnny Reid....which is exciting in itself, but because I went with BX93...I had even more fun. And now, for the next 10 minutes...I give details and photos...pretend to care :P

So we got to the JLC for 3, Chris Harding set-up and went live on-air, and around 4 Terri Clark (Girls Lie Too, When Boy Meets Girl, She Didn't Have Time, etc) is brought to the lounge for the interview. First off, she looks much YOUNGER with NO make-up on!! She is tall-I'd say 6 feet at least...and is very nice! She wasn't feeling good so we didnt ask for pictures/autographs when she was done her interview, but we chatted. I told her I was from Tilbury...and SHE KNEW WHERE IT WAS! She was like "oh yes, there is a service center there!" Hahaha

Next Johnny Reid (Missing an Angel, Time Flies, Sixty to Zero, etc) came out in sweat pants (very down to earth)..did his interview with Chris...then came over to sign our stuff and get photos taken ...

...I actually managed to spit out a few words that sounded like words, not sounds...and as soon as he walked away...I was jumping up and down giggling because I'm that cool!

Then once Chris was done on air at 6, he told me we were going out for supper. So we get into a LIMO and go out for dinner with the record reps for the three artists to SOME expensive place where 5 of us, only ordering salad and drinks, had a bill of $200! WOW! While at the bar, there were these guys who fit the country male listener look to a 't'-the hat, dress shirts and pants, who were singing along with "I love this bar" by Toby Keith...I looked over and laughed...next thing I knew...the waitress brought me over a shot-one of the guys sent it over! I was amazed because Hi, this is me. But I sent it back because 1) I have a boyfriend and I don't want to be stupid and mess that up, 2) I was "working" and 3) I get drunk way too easily...>..>

Next we went back to the JLC and got into our 3rd row seats (to the right of the stage where the assistants, tour managers, wives, girlfirend, husbands sat)...Johnny Reid came out and sang...he has such a great voice! It was amazing!

Next was Terri Clark who was sooo full of energy (you wouldnt know shes sick!) and hilarious. SHe kept mkaing jokes about London, the beer, Tim Hortons, her body vs divas...etc...She sang a bunch of songs, old and new, and sounded wonderful! I didn't know a lot of the songs, only the newer ones, but I was dancing and singing (off-key, of course) and making up my own words!

Then BRAD came out, and he had all these video screens set up...all through-out his show he had these animations playing (that he MADE himself!) and his videos, etc on the screen. He preformed for about an hour, followed by 3 encore songs...and I knew every song but one! He was telling jokes, making up songs as he went, and was just a great preformer! During "alcohol', the screens had all these shots of bars through-out London, which was very neat to see! He also flicked about 100 guitar picks into the crowd-a roadie had to keep coming and putting a new strip onto the mic stands! :)

Then once the concert was done, we headed to the back of the arena, where I found out one of the girls I worked with "forgot" to order me a backstage pass :( So I held everyones jackets and purses while they went backstage...and as I was standing there, Terri came up and said "Hey Tilbury, why are you standing there" and I explained the situation...and she left and came back with a BACKSTAGE pass for me! :D

So I ran back all giddy and smiling to the lineup and joined Chris Harding...we had to take off our coats and purses and leave everything with the guards...and since everyone had something to get signed, I was like "my boobs?" but then decided that was bad :P so I grabbed my ticket!! So I walk through this door and BOOM! right there is BRAD PAISLEY! So I make some sound because Im starstruck, and Chris comes up and introduces himself and me...and I continue to ramble and mumble and make squacking sounds...SOMEHOW managing to get my ticket autographed by him and got a photo and shook his hand...then we walked out of that area...and I started shaking because, HI, I never meet famous people

So that was my night-one of the greatest nights I have ever had, and definately one I won't forget for a LONG LONG time! :) Enjoy the pictures!!!!
