I closed my car door and I started my blue baby up. I cranked the Dispatch and I followed the trail home. The summer wind enveloped me and flowed through my lungs. The first time in a long while i've been content. About halfway home, I got a glimpse of the ever-present night sky. I pulled the car off to the side of the road and looked up.
"And I will walk with you
using the stars as guides
on a homeward path we go
know when our time is nigh"
Those lyrics overlapped the dark sky, brought to life by the handful of diamonds strewn about. As much as I enjoyed it, I turned the music down.
"All I've d-"
I sat there in silence for a moment. I cursed the fact that I could not share this moment with you. As the silence reached it's peak...a melody in my head began to play. Soon accompanied by the lyrics of my childhood voice.

The familiarity of this song struck a chord in my mind. Not so much the song, but the melody...
