[Someone has totally just witnessed all of this from the doorway.

And has no idea what to make of it. None. Speechless. And looking a little amused and a little worried.]

[Yeah, Norma seems to have that effect on people quite often, it's a talent of hers. However, once her song is said and done, Norma doesn't really notice anyone standing there. She's never been the most perceptive of the group... So, she'll just slump down in her bed and lean the side of her head against one pillow.]

Oohh...I wanna get out of here already! I can't believe they're making me stay here for three weeks! Bleh! I can;t sit around that long! I'll turn to stone! Or grow mushrooms...

[Woe is she.]

Oh...I don't think things like that should happen to you...

[But in Luceti you never know?]

[Norma squeaks with surprise at the voice and turns suddenly, letting out a loud gasp as the sudden movement sends a spike of pain up her leg. She bites her lip, of the verge of shouting out a rather colorful word, and tugs on the sheets of her bed. Once the pain fades, she rounds on the perpetrator.]

Jeez! Don't scare me like that! Aren't you supposed to knock before entering or something?!

Oh, be careful!

[Mia comes closer to help steady her, completely unfazed by her anger]

I did knock. I thought you were speaking to me, just now. I apologize.

[Usually Norma would squirm away from any help like a huffy little kid, but she's more of less stuck in one spot here. Plus, she'll let the lady fuss over her and fix it, since it was her fault...kind of.]

Nope...just talking to my imaginary friend here, or the dust bunnies. Not like I can do much else here.

[She has to get grune to bring her something fun.]

Well, I am here to heal you, if you will allow it.

[This usually makes the people stuck here happy.]

[As if Norma would object to someone healing her broken leg. Though she is a little surprised. She's been able to heal major wounds and even bring back people on the verge of death with her strongest healing spell, but even those seemed to have become downgraded in Luceti.]

You can really fix me up? For real? Even the broken bone?

I can. [Sorry, though, Norma, but] Not all at once. It would take about a week's rest in bed, and another week or two of being careful and not putting weight on that leg.

But it is much shorter than you would otherwise have.

[Dude, that's...still really good. A week is a week and if she can get out of here in, maybe, under two weeks and just hobble around on crutches, she will take it. It's loads better than sitting in bed and doing nothing all day. Plus, for free? As if Norma wouldn't take it.]

I can do that! I'm always careful! [Not.] ...So long as no one does anything stupid to me. But I'm not about to go breaking my leg again if I can help it.

[Is there an option that is not 'for free'? Mia looks at Norma with a tiny smile. No, she seems like the type - like some of Mia's friends - to swear she will rest, and then run around doing everything anyway. With abandon, even.

Then again, what damage could she cause if trapped in bed for weeks? Hm.]

Do you promise to rest?

Yeah, yeah! Cross my heart and all that stuff.

[Norma grins. She does sound sincere, but sounding like something and being that way are two entirely different things. Still...as much as she just wanted to run and jump around happily when her cast finally does come off, Norma's not stupid. She won't strain herself more than necessary. Pain doesn't agree with her.]

All right. Lie back and relax, then. This will not hurt. [And enough people have said that before and been lying that she feels she must add] I promise.

[Norma gives the young woman a look, because she has heard that before...usually with painful consequences, but her smile, and voice, is one Norma can trust. Or so she hopes. There wasn't anything she could really distrust about this person either.

So, Norma does as she's told and lays back against her pillows, closes her eyes, and exhales slowly.]

[Mia is one of the few healers she's ever met who will tell you if something will hurt. Only if asked. This time her words are every bit the truth, though. It might give Norma a twinge when Mia sets her hands on her broken leg, but it should be replaced in the space of a breath with a feeling like cool water.

While she's concentrating, though, Mia won't answer anything Norma might say.]

[As a healer herself, Norma know the goings-on and the procedure of healing spells themselves. She remains still, though tenses a little at the short, quick, and painful sensation in her leg at first. The next sensation she feels has her openly sighing with bliss. It was...kind of like her own eres - like a wash of air or water. Just something pleasant swirling around you.

Norma'd only ever experienced the healing abilities of herself and her friends, so this was...rather strange. But very, very nice. And, though Norma's's not paying very much attention as she relaxes, the pain in her leg diminishes to a high degree.]
