Feeling nostalgic
The other night I was watching New Zealand’s version of MTV, and they had the Top 10 Videos of the 90s. I realized that I loved just about every band from the videos and knew all the words to the songs, and then it hit me - I was once part of a “scene!” I used to be a total grunge girl!
I think it’s cool when you look at photos of your parents or other older people, and you can tell they were completely into whatever was in at the time, even if it looks ridiculous now. I guess I’m now old enough where I can remember way back when multi-colored hair and flannel shirts were all the rave, and boy did I love them when I was 15.
Unfortunately I’m not sure how many pictures I have of myself as a grunge girl (we didn’t have no fancy digital cameras in those days), but I have a few that I’m going to preserve so I can show my kids that I was once cool.
