I have just cancelled our Earthlink account. It was surprisingly difficult to do. Not because they tried to hold us to some kind of contract or something, but because of the reason we were cancelling - the idiot I was talking to wouldn't *listen* to me. He couldn't believe I really wanted to cancel everything. Yes, everything. Yes, I want the existing e-mail accounts to Go Away. I want to cancel our DSL service. I want to cancel on-line access. I want to cancel webmail. I want to cancel aaaaalll services. Yes, really. YES, EVERYTHING!
Now to sign up for new service after lunch. What's that you say, perhaps we did this in the wrong order? Yeah, maybe. Won't kill us to not have connectivity at home for a few days, we should be getting faster service cheaper, and have wireless access at "select access points across the nation" or somesuch marketing-babble.
