I'm ill...and I don't appreciate it

I am ill and I do not appreciate it. A couples years back I was bed-ridden for a week because my throat had swollen up. The lymph nodes or whatever had decided to try and crawl their way out. The worst part was I was hungry but couldn't eat for five days! The only thing that kept me from starving was the constant sleep and ingestion of medicine.

Well, I fear it happening again, although I do not feel the need to sleep as much nor do I feel sick. It's just getting difficult to talk properly.

None of this would be a problem of course, if not for the fact that I cannot skip any classes save my thursday night one (and i'm saving that day for the next round of book-reports) and since i"m taking next weekend off from work, I really couldn't afford to call in sick this weekend. Plus it sets a bad precendent. So, i'm doping myself up but with non-drowy stuff and downing cought drops like water. Hoo-yea! I hate it.

My consolation is that this happened AFTER my wonderful Valentine's Day with Amy. I'm thankful I'm dating someone like her. Where I failed many times, she was able to save the day. My idea to go to Raleigh and leave town was about the only thing that really worked out. We were lost much of the time. I was unable to procure flowers for her and the place I chose for dinner took so long (two hours) that we decided to go back to the hotel and order pizza. The hotel was cool because it was not only next to a Dunkin' Donuts but I had also rented a suite...which I didn't know until we got there. WOOT. After the various fiascos, Amy surprises me with a fondue set she had smuggled with her and a present: the Firefly series! I was humbled by her planning, I must say. We had a great time and it was really nice to get out of town.

Other than that, life is what it is and i'll be glad to be over this cold (I hate getting too hot and too cold with no in-between!) and hopefully, I can figure out financial aid for summer courses. It apparently isn't included in the financial aid I apply for through fafsa.
