It's people who have everything they want that suck to shop for.
Parker's got enough money to buy anything in the world, but she just likes money. She has a tiny apartment and no stuff and a lot of money she never uses.
Now that's impossible to shop for.

"It has holes," says Parker, looking at the giant box.
"Yeah," says Hardison. "That's to, uh, lower wind resistance."
The box meows.
"It meowed."
"Yeah, they do that."
"Did you get me a cat?" asks Parker, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Open it up," says Hardison.
Of course, it's a cat. He got it from a shelter. She's a little under a year old, skinny and soft, and she looks up at Parker forlornly.
"How long was she in this box?" asks Parker sharply, picking her up carefully.
"Five minutes," says Hardison. "Tops."
Parker pets the cat's head delicately. "Does she have a name?"
"Lucy," says Hardison, patting her too. She glares at him--yeah, he had that coming. She did not like that box.
"I don't have time," says Parker, holding the cat close.
"Cats aren't too bad. Give her some food before you go, play with her when you're home. And I can always take care of her sometimes."
"Oh," says Parker. She puts the cat down, and she sniffs around, starting to explore. "I can try."
"Yeah," says Hardison. "See how you like it."
