There's lots to celebrate today Longmire fans!

Big news from A&E that ratings increased over the S1 premiere by a substantial amount: 5% overall, as well as a big 12% increase in the key 18-49 demo! Here's a link to the press release:

This is great. The show's been struggling all season to break the 1.0 mark in the 18-45 demo (despite having the most or near the most total viewers for the time slot each week) and Deadline reports: the season one finale of A&E’s breakout drama series Longmire drew 4.3 million total viewers and 1.6 million adults 25-54 on Sunday.

Longmire was the number one cable show Sunday night in total viewers (4.5 million) and raised in the demo to .9. (The demo unfortunately is considered more important, thus the article says True Blood was #1, but in total viewers--Longmire beats all!)

Whoot! They bested the premiere numbers for this one! It had a strong promo so maybe that helped! Wonder how it fared in the demo? 
ETA: Craig posted on Facebook that it beat out both True Blood and the Breaking Bad premiere in total viewers. Sweeet. (Full ratings haven't been released yet for all shows to the public.)

According to TV by the Numbers, total viewers rose from 3.5 million to 3.8 million this week -- Outstanding! And the coveted 18-49 demo share stayed steady at .7 again. Hopefully that means a season two pickup is heading our way soon!
