An invisible conundrum

This is possibly one for the medically inclined...

Found myself thinking the other day - if you had an invisible man (or woman I suppose), who like in H.G. Wells' story had managed to turn the very material of his/her body entirely transparent, surely they would eventually become visible again as they took in new non-invisible material from food, air, etc.

So my question is, how would this happen? In what order and how long would it take?

I'd guess it would start with the blood and for a while you would have a complete circulatory system wandering around. But what then?
