It Happened Again

I was at SuperTarget (the same one I always go to) to pick up some canned air and a CD binder.

As I'm leaving, I see this whorishly-dressed mother-daughter combo loading their purchase (about four bags) into the trunk of this tiny Honda. I resisted the temptation to make an impolite comment about the lack of trunk space in jap cars, and moved on.

As I was getting to where I'd parked (further down the same row) I see the mother push the cart over to the curb. I yelled out to her "Lady, are you really too lazy to push that the 20 feet to the cart return behind you?!" to which she shoots me a look that had equal parts "is he talking to me?!" and "oh shit". She replied "Yes". I said "Fine!" and started to walk over there with the intent to put the cart where it belonged to shame her. I guess she thought that I was going to attack her, or maybe the shaming tactic worked, because as I got about halfway there, she yelled "Fine, I'll do it" and pushed the cart into the cart return.

This is the second time I've encountered someone that amazingly lazy in that lot.

I think I'm going to keep being an asshole about it. It feels (and I don't often say this) righteous to do so.

lazy people, activism, mobile
