I noticed today when I was checking the date to put on the deposit slip for my stimulus check. I didn't notice any ruckus like there was last year for 6/6/06, nor did I feel any luckier than usual

Are the boxes still made of wood or have they cheapened them by using paper pressboard ?

Still wood. And actual cedar, in most cases.

and the expensive ones used to also have metal hinges and some sort of simple lock to keep the lid closed.

I have some of those.

One slides open/closed, another is hinged with paper and closes with a nail into the wood. Simple, but very effective.

I thought the comments that were already there were going to be about such a thing. And then they were not. I was quite confused.

I wonder if the bank will notice that on the deposit slip?

Also, I remember the hype about 6/6/06 because it was Satan. And I do remember a bit of a hype around here at the casinos for 7/7/07. They had a lot of specials and what not. I don't know what significance they could make for 8/8/08. Doesn't mean much to me.

Notice it or not, the money showed up in my account, and that's what matters.

It doesn't mean much to me either, it was just odd to look at the date on my phone's clock and see 7/7, and I guess my brain filled in with a bit of wishful thinking.

Remember, I have OCD. I like even numbers, palindromes, even pairs/sets, and symmetry. So sometimes I tend to see them when they're not there.

Interestingly enough, the anhydrous powder comes out to being less then even the JetAlerts, plus it gets into your system faster (no binder to slow the absorption). But however you like caffeine, enjoy it well!

The occasional $3 I can spare. $28 is too much. Besides, then you have to mix it with water or something. I've gotten rather good at swallowing the pills dry.
