Damn Kids

At work, the most interesting to happen today was a couple of pushy kids trying to sell overpriced fund-raising candy in the parking lot. Eddie went out to try to nicely shoo them off, and we thought they were gone. However, they actually ran inside the store and accosted a customer. I was in shock. Who the fuck does shit like that? And what parent allows thier kids to panhandle in a liquor store and it's parking lot?

To make things even worse, they were apparently trying to get money for some sort of church charity, since they were wearing shirts with crosses on the back. I told Eddie if they came back, I'd chase them out of the store myself. No offense to him, but a young angry-looking bald white man is a lot scarier to kids than a middle-aged fat guy. I suggested we call the cops on them for trespassing, too.

Tomorrow (Monday) is going to be a busy day. I have to take the car in, and run some errands. Then if I have time, I'm going to have to do a few other odd jobs I've had on my to-do list for a long time.

Duct tape is my friend. Tonight, I've used it to ghetto-rig my phone holster (I hate how easily leather falls apart at the seams) and to fasten an adaptor to a cord.

annoying, working on an off day, errends, work, car
