Been meaning to post a couple of these for a while now, so here's a mess of 'em.

Any of you that have Sony Vaio GRX series laptops, this will be of interest to you. The issue with the motherboard/ram slot soldering coming unsoldered is now well-documented. This is known to cause freezing, bootup, and rebooting issues. Not to mention (in my case) the inability to use any RAM in the second slot.

Many of you know that I'm really lazy. I also hate Netflix, since just like brick-and-mortar video stores, all the DVDs that they rent out are scratched completely to fuck, and not able to be watched. However, now that this service is being offered (even on a trial basis) they've piqued my interest. For unlimited streaming movie watching, I'd be willing to pay ten or fifteen bucks a month, sure.

This needs no explanation. Blech.

I've been a buff of the early days of the technology for quite some time now, and when I head about the sad story of John Draper, I was amazed. This man is a legend, a demigod of the early world of technology. The man who will forever be known to some by his nickname of "Cap'n Crunch" is living out his golden years a mere step away from homelessness. Sad.
