....
WTF?
I love my mom. She's great. I asked for a beanie and Under Armor pants... so that's what she got me. In addition to a book I've been wanting for a while and speakers for my mp3 player. And fuzzy socks and warm socks. So... all in all, she rocks. She knows what I'll want.
My brother... I can't even remember what he got me. But whatever it was, I liked it. He's sweet.
My aunt (mom's sister) got me a really cool book, a Border's gift card (Woot! Anberlin CDs, you are mine!), and a horsey shirt. Sure, it's pink, but it's soft and will make a great PJ shirt. She's so nice, and she does try really hard.
My cousins each pitched in and got me a Barnes and Noble card, so that works. They're not making much money, I wasn't even expecting either of them to get me anything, so that was really nice.
My other aunt (father's sister) got me a Barnes and Noble card (so more music and books... yeah), some fuzzy socks, some homemade socks that I will probably never wear but are very thoughtful, and a crystal horse statue. That's really nice.
And then we get to the drama...
My grandma sent me a check for 50 dollars. That's great; with what I already have, I can afford new shipping boots for Bandit. However... last Christmas, it was 75 bucks. Christmas before that, it was easily 100 bucks worth of stuff. Always has been. I'm not a greedy or materialistic person, I'm just noting the trend. While my brother gets spoiled, I get... something. Apparently, if I don't make amends with HIM, I don't get anything from her. It just sucks all around that she's messing with our relationship because I don't get along with hate her son.
And then it gets confusing. He's up to something. I do not know what he's trying to do, though I can guess: he's trying to buy me back or something. He bought me: a pair of thick socks, some really nice Carhartt gloves, a CSU hoodie, a CSU beanie, a gift card to Best Buy (? since when I have shopped there?), a Borders gift card, three DVDs (Hidalgo and Pirates 1 I already have, and then some 5th Doctor, which will be fun to watch), and... wait for it...
A portable DVD player. I do not know what on earth is up with him.
Life is so complicated.
