My skin is so SOFT! Lush bath bombs did NOT make my skin remotely this soft and silky and strokable. And I only used half of the 8oz Mountain Loafers bomb. Dammit, I'm going to have to go ahead and place another order even though they won't e-mail me back. I want the goat milk bath bombs, and the goat milk soap, and the Miss Elly bath bomb ("Precious neroli oil blended with rosewood & sweet orange essential oils. A delicate fragrance that is quite lovely. Includes tangerine white tea...") and the Spa bath bomb ("Cedar, geranium, juniper berry, lemon, lime, grapefruit and jasmine essential oils") and the Sugar & Spice bath bomb (which I think would layer beautifully with Vanilla Bean Noel) and... and... gah. Must sell some organs or something.
I think PMS puts me in a reckless mood when it comes to online shopping. I'm holding out for the new moon update Sunday before I place my next BPAL order. It's Blood Moon, and
I'm really hoping it's a good fragrance because I want it to celebrate my period with. I know I bitch a ton about my period, but I also really value its energy and I like the idea of having a special oil for it. I used to have a blood-red carnelian beaded bracelet that I only wore while I was bleeding, but then I lost it, and I don't have much patience for jewelry anyway, apart from earrings, and I do have some lovely garnet earrings, but they're my favorites and there's no way I'm restricting myself to wearing them only five days a month. Plus, whatever the "lunar oils" are that Beth puts in her Moon blends, they wear REALLY well on me. So I'm really hoping the Blood Moon scent is something wearable. Based on a search on the site, here are potential "blood" notes:
Dragon's blood resin
"Blood red" wine
"Blood musk"
Blood orange
"Blood red" rose
"Blood red" currant
Plus she has a scent just called "Blood," which is "essence of dragon's blood resin, thickened with myrrh and cherry, with a trickle of clove." Yuck, cherry. But yeah, sure, okay, blood does have a little sickly sweet note to it. I'd really prefer blood orange though. I'm a little ambivalent on dragon's blood resin, but I love myrrh, clove, red wine, and red currant. Rose is iffy, but I love the scent Blood Rose, and if blood musk is the "red musk" from Loviatar, I'm into that as well. So, you know, waiting for Sunday. Other orders for Sunday:
imp packs for Raqui and Annie, a 5ml of Cathedral for them to use together since they both loved it (I'm going to get them a little essential oil burner so they can scent their new home), and for me, I'm not sure, but I'm really hoping that all the imps I have coming in, mostly in one lot from the charity auction, make it here by then, so I can make an informed decision. Here are the samples I have coming, that I want to try to see if there's one I love enough to spend a bottle on:
Dia de los Muertos
Samhain
Tarot: The Sun (I FINALLY tracked down a sample of this!)
Then there's Chimera which I want a bottle of just from the description (cinnamon, copal, honeysuckle and myrrh, oh ye cats and kittens) and Wanda which I want a bottle of just from the name (and partially the description, because I wouldn't want it if it didn't sound yummy, but: Wanda love!), of neither of which I've been able to track down a sample. And I've contracted an odd dislike for imps. I dunno, they just seem puny and annoying, and not worth a two-month wait. Nice bottles.
Maybe I'll have a package when I get home today! *dances about*
I love getting mail. I salivate for it. I have totally embraced online shopping for that very reason. Also, no driving, no pushy salespeople, no dealing with people at all, wider range of available retailers, and myriad other conveniences of this sort. But it does make me sad not to be able to carry something home as soon as I have bought it.
Meh, stupid nasty class this afternoon. Grr. Also, I have not washed my hair for four days. Ick. I kept falling asleep in the bath last night and I forgot to wash my hair. And why won't my goddamn period just start? Why must I suffer for a week before I actually start to bleed?
