yay?

Started my period about half an hour ago.

This does explain the feeling of general illness and misery I've been having for the past couple of days. And now the cramps are starting. Better now than Friday. Still, I'm really not in the mood to schlep all my luggage out to the car and try to make it fit. I'm going to make sweet love to my heating pad instead.

Oh, speaking of Yiddishisms, I was watching the rerun of "Histories" (House, M.D.) last night, and I noticed this:

House: Foreman's parents, happily married for 40 years.
Wilson: Mazel tov.
House: (something that sounded like) Keina horah.

Does anyone know what that meant? It sounded like he was responding to Wilson's Yiddishism with another one, but I don't know the other one. And I don't know how to spell it to be able to Google it.

ETA: With some educated guessing and Googling, it appears to be a Yiddish invocation against the evil eye invoked by premature or arrogant boasting, something like "knock wood."

Remember when House was awesome?
