So I answered the phone at work a couple of days ago with my normal polite greeting.
MAN: "I need to speak to a supervisor." (note: there are probably about 15 supervisors where I work. Seeing as he called our office, I figured he wanted to talk to mine.)
ME: "Well sir, my supervisor isn't in the office at the moment, but I can transfer you to her-"
MAN: "No, I need to speak to a supervisor RIGHT NOW. This is a legal matter."
ME: "Ah. Well...(looks over to the owner's office) I can transfer you to the owner's office. I can't tell from here if he's in, but-"
MAN(cutting me off again): "So you're telling me that there's no supervisor on site right now? Who do you call when both of them are out? I'm a lawyer, you don't realize what you're telling me, don't you know that OSHA regulations state that there has to be a supervisor on site all the timeyouhadbetterfindsomeonerightnowi'malawyerandIwon'tstandforthis-"
ME: "Can I finish what I was trying to say?"
MAN: "Yeah, go ahead and say what you were going to say. If you're saying you're a supervisorthatisbecauseifyou'renotasupervisoridon'tneedtobetalkingtoyouunless-"
ME: "Okay, thank you." *CLICK*
Oh yeah, that felt gooood.
