New Poem: Stolen
This heart is filled with sorrows and pains,
it's enough to simply drive one insane.
But it lets me know I'm still alive,
it reminds me that my soul still thrives.
That I know how it feels to care,
even when it's just too much to bear.
Cause all I want is to see you smile,
a heart lifting sight I haven't seen in a while.
To make you happy is a life long goal,
something I'd try with every part of my soul.
Everyone's haunted by past and regret
but it's best to forgive and never forget.
Let go of the things that make you sad
and it's best not to waste time being mad.
You've got arms that'll always hold you,
through all the pain and smiles you go through.
You've to a hand you can always hold,
one that will lead you out of the cold.
You've got a heart that you'll always be in
even at times when you feel like you can't win.
You've got kisses that are still yours to take,
especially if your heart is about to break.
You've got a love that will always be true,
it can't stand the thought of ever hurting you.
You've got forgiveness that will always stay,
even if you makes mistakes each day.
This isn't just a promise that I swore to keep,
it was something I realized evertyime I started to weep.
You filled my heart with a feeling so strong,
there's just no way it could've been wrong.
You save me just as I'm about to break,
when it feels like I've had more than I can take.
So even if you walk away,
know that I'll still be here anyway.
No matter how far away you are,
I'll watch out for you like a distant star.
We've both got a lot we still have to do,
goals to reach and dreams to make true.
But maybe someday we could try again,
it'd be something great to begin.
New scars and new stories, a whole new start.
