I lied when I said that Fred's death in Angel was the most heartbreaking scene ever. This was.
Yeah, you know, I can't even begin to comment on the rest of the episode. The scene between Ianto and Jack in the warehouse at the beginning was great, Lois was great, Gwen was great. The government are bastards. But Ianto. If Ianto stays dead, I will not be a happy bunny. And how can they even think about doing a series four with just Jack and Gwen? Jack seems to have coped with his time underground and losing Owen and Tosh, but after that scene, I don't think he'll cope with losing Ianto. He loves him, even if he didn't say it.
But that scene. It was amazing, exactly how I imagined a Ianto death scene would be. His, "I love you", and Jack's, "Don't" were just perfect. And the conversation about Jack forgetting Ianto. Oh my God. I'd read the rumour but I didn't believe it to be true.
I'm hoping that somehow, the kiss Jack gave Ianto will have transferred some of his life force into him, and he'll miraculously wake up. Because honestly, I don't think RTD can get away with killing Ianto. He got away with Tosh and Owen, but this is just too many.
