You can't imagine just how much I miss her

Do you not think that an afternoon delivery should have been delivered by now? I have been hanging around at home since about 12.15pm, AND THERE IS STILL NO DELIVERY.

AND I have a library reservation just come in today! I have been waiting for this book for THREE MONTHS, and of course it arrives today - today, the day I cannot rush out and get it because some afternoon delivery is taking its time getting here! At least the library is open till 8pm, so if there is no sign by 6pm 5.30pm I am going and getting my book!

Sigh.

Today's farewell to Melbourne involved a spur of the moment trip to Savers, out in the deeper suburbs (since my sister's car is here and available for use, I could do this without a major adventure on public transport). I also felt like it because the satellite navigator is also here, so driving is actually enjoyable again without stressing out over maps and getting lost.

TECHNOLOGY IS MAGIC, YOU GUYS.

I can't believe how much I love driving. Each time I get in a car I'm reminded of how I love going somewhere, feeling like I'm in control and there's nothing else to consider except the basic motions of driving a vehicle*. And yet, I do want to keep driving to a minimum. One person travelling alone is not very efficient, cost or environmentally speaking, and I don't ever want to get trapped in the boredom and frustration of driving to work in rush-hour traffic.

In any case, the trip was a success! I found quite a few dresses, though I restricted myself to two - one halter neck black one with a floral print for wearing when Adelaide tries to melt my face off with 40C+ weather, and another one that looks nice for work. It's grey, with purple silky material lining it, and some white lace as well! It also has pockets! The previous owner must have been short too, because the straps have been shortened! Yay!

I also bought a random glass vase/ bottle (it came with a cork top) too to finish off my spree. I'm considering trying out some glass painting again, though I don't really have any ideas yet.

I may try and convince my mum to come out with me this weekend, as I suspect she'll also find some things she'd like.

And tomorrow, the zoo!

EDIT: And without fail, 10 minutes after posting the delivery comes! *Sokka voice* TO THE LIBRARY!!!

* With the exception of going new places where I overthink reading the map and second-guess myself into making mistakes.
