Flickr is a very strange site. Photos I'm kind of proud of (like the pelican one) get ignored in favour of a blurry, boring photo of my Converse sneaker?

And those are beaten by the not-very-exciting photos of flowers?

It's like it's not the content that matters, but what words you type into the description and titles! (Though people have not seemed to be searching for flowers or Christmas, so that theory doesn't exactly hold in these instances.) Perhaps it's what order you upload them in when you have a few photos? (People get bored of the last few and are less likely to click through?)
Very mysterious, and slightly upsetting. Look at the bird, people!
(Unless of course the content consists of a scantily clad attractive female. Then that becomes the most popular photo in your stream, with regular visitors years down the line.)
