People! I have 16 days to post 29 entries!
COMMENCE SPAMMING SPREE!
When I posted that list of ways to draw more, I especially liked the idea of taking photos of things to draw later. So much easier than trying to ninja-sketch when out and about! (And makes me use my camera more too, which is always a bonus.) Today at the castle there were some rooms dedicated to military weapons and uniforms over the years.
I took a photo of one of the pistols, since I've been wanting to learn how to draw them. (If you've ever read Garth Nix's Across the Wall - the book with the short stories, you might remember the one with the Western-theme. I remember that one well too, and have been wanting to illustrate it.)
Anyway!
It has been a very long while since I last posted a sketch! And I'm still without a scanner. Oh well, photos will just have to do. I am almost two months into the sketch a day thing! That sounds pretty impressive, until you realise some days I've just drawn blobs with smoke coming off them to represent burned cookies.
And just for funsies, the gun itself:
Guns in general horrify me, yet I'm still drawn to carved pistols. They're so pretty.
