Well, I'm due a month from tomorrow (and SUPER HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Annan tomorrow!!) and today was another first for Annelise! My dad has some cows in the pasture, we generally don't even notice they're there. I've come home a few times to find the black calf hanging out in the yard and a few weeks ago I caught the black calf and its mommy hanging out near the road. Well today I came home to see one of the electricians chasing a couple of calves back through the fence that separates the new house from the rest of the pasture. They told me that the bull hadn't gone back through yet but they'd keep an eye on him. I called Dad to let him know and as we were hanging up I saw the bull nosing around the fence trying to find his way back through. He came over by the current house and was hanging out in the back yard so I opened up the gate to the pasture. It didn't take him long to realize the gate was open and I chased him through it. The electricians were all set to help out, I think they were worried about the pregnant lady in the red shirt dealing with a bull. Everything worked out just fine and I got the gate closed again. So Annelise has now 'herded' a cow, something she'll probably never do again. It's very rare that any of us girls have to help in any way with Dad's farm work, it's usually the husbands/boyfriends that get roped into that. John's going to be jealous that he didn't get to help out, he loves doing stuff on the farm with Dad.
