There is this song I remember from when I was, I dunno, twelve-ish? When I used to leave the clock radio on as I fell asleep. I remember most of the lyrics to the chorus and how the tune goes, but no matter what combination of lyrics I use in duckduckgo or google, the song just doesn't come up. It's so weird. Hey you! Long time no see!

I have the first verse AND the lyrics!

Verse:
Between friends, there's always a spark
When something is happening, but where does it start?
Something so special (natural?), these feelings, these senses.
Do I give up now or build my defences?

Chorus:
(between friends) Oh, this could be
(between friends) What was meant for me (meant to be?)
(between friends) I need you so
(between friends) don't let me go... (never let me go?)

If memory serves, this is not an epic love and they go their separate ways at the end of the song.

"Between Friends" would be a good title for the fic I'm writing, which got me remembering the song, which made me wonder if another set of lyrics from it might be an even better title, which led to me trying to find said lyrics with no luck.

I fail at the google.

I have crawled from the abyss of no internet at home!
I've missed my LJ friends. I'm working at our public library now... I'll see what I can find! Song lyrics have assaulted me before, too...it frustrating!

Sadly, LJ seems to be going the way of the dodo. Not a lot of activity these days. I miss all my LJ friends and communities. :(

Ha! Maybe I wrote it after all. ;)

I have remembered the final verse. Woke up remembering it; must have been dreaming on it or something.

I have my life, my commitments are strong
You have your own world to which you belong
We are so different in so many ways
But maybe, just maybe, for a few special days...
