Today, I went to my environmental class, which was, for the most part, enjoyable. One of the lecturers is great -- he has a great presence, and really connects with everyone in a way that has us all interested in what he has to say. The other ones are pretty lackluster. In between my lectures, I stopped to have lunch with Ali at the Embankment Cafe, this little cafe tucked away amongst the trees that line the street beside the Thames. It's a really cute place -- Ali loves it, and goes to it often, but this was the first time I'd been.
After lunch, I tried to dash over to the British Museum because I had heard that they were having a free tea ceremony demonstration, which I thought had sounded cool. I hopped a couple different tube lines, but didn't quite make it in time, and the snooty security guard told me that if I hadn't made it by now, I wasn't going to. Oh, well. I went to my second lecture and then hopped the 68 bus home.
KCH dinner was fabulous as always (read: sarcasm) but Elisa, Ali, and I managed to get by on a smorgasbord of fruit, crackers, cheese, and milk. Afterwards, I made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the room, then had a nice relaxing evening in the room.
