Today, at about 10:30 I was booted out of room by the maid, so she could clean. I shuffled out in my pajamas, not expecting it to take very long, and locked the door behind me. I heard her go in a few minutes later (she had been cleaning another room up until that point.) But every time I came back to the room, the door was still propped, and I figured she was still in there. I ended up waiting an hour, until I finally knocked and went in, to discover that she had left my door unlocked and propped before leaving. Slightly unnerving, as pretty much everything of value to me, I keep in my room. I wouldn't have minded if I hadn't've locked my door behind me in the first place. Anyways, I just made a mental note to not leave the dorm until checking the room after cleaning day.
I went down to dinner after class and met up with Stephen and Elisa. They were heading off with Glory to salsa dancing, which sounded fun, so I joined them. It was a blast; Steve and I aren't quite as talented as Elisa and Glory, so we were in the beginner class, but they taught us some nifty spins and steps. There were only 10 guys and about 30 girls, so Steve was happy with the ratio. One of the guys was so happy to be there -- he was a senior, and he kept telling me, "I'm trying to branch out, I've never done something like this! It's all very exciting." Cute. ^_^
After leaving salsa dancing, we traveled back to the Fox on the Hill (the pub down the road from the dorm, which will from now on be referred to as 'the Fox' for Mollie's birthday celebration. We were tucked into a back booth, about 10 of us, and Mollie was steadily getting more happily drunk by the minute (we weren't helping, buying her celebratory drinks every other minute.) All in all, it was a good time.
