Last weekend was one of those warm, spring weekends that make you excited about the upcoming summer days and fill your soul with happiness, excitement and positive energy.
We arrived in Prague on Friday afternoon.
It was warm, sunny and everything was blindingly green.
We had tickets to the theatre for Friday night.
Sandwiches were consumed during the interval. :P
Afterwards we went to After that we went to
NEB.O and I had the best yellow curry ever.and I had the best yellow curry ever.
On Saturday morning we went for brunch to
Cukrkavalimonada.
We had eggs, salmon, ham, cheese and some veggies. Delicious!
After our brunch we went for a walk around Kampa.
I even managed to snap a photo of my family. It's a rare occasion as they all hate having their picture taken. I don't know why, they're precious!
The weather was perfect.
And the lilacs are finally blooming! I can't get enough of them.
We popped over to Angelato for some ice cream. We tried rhubarb, mango, coconut, hazelnut and chocolate between ourselves and they were all delicious. I always have such a difficult time choosing!
Then we headed to Střelecký ostrov.
There were people having picnics everywhere.
I was bare-legged all weekend, for the first time this year!
These people got stuck and could not get unstuck. I'd hoped one of them would have to actually get into the water and push the paddleboat away from the spot but then these other guys came along and helped them. Shame! :P
Prague. <3
Then we picked up Eda and set off for a trip to Divoká Šárka.
Divoká Šárka is a nature reserve in Prague and none of us had been there before.
I have to say, we were utterly charmed.
Eda drank from a local brook. *hearts in my eyes*
I managed not to fall in. Are you as surprised as I am?
This is called The Jug and apparently you can have a swim there if you don't mind the freezing water.
My sister thought Eda needed a proper look, too.
Afterwards, we went for dinner to
Café Záhorský. I had a delicious salmon tartare.
Eda really wanted some.
Sunday morning was gorgeous as well.
It was Mother's day so I took mum for breakfast. We went to PAUL and had some amazing croissants and mint tea. Then we did some minor shopping and headed home.
Such flawless weekends should happen more often. What were you up to last weekend?
