They let me do my job and they take away my pain.
So, I was a little bit creative last night and made some simple House related 16 x 16 .ico files for my bookmarks/favorites in Firefox/Internet Explorer and the same pictures as .gif files for my layout on Livejournal.
I always wanted to have a Vicodin bottle instead of the standard LJ user symbol! Since my friends page is called "the ducklings", I made three ducklings for the friends-locked posts instead of the standard lock. Most people work with friends groups, so I made another image with two ducks for filtered posts and a single duckie for private posts, too. That's the reason why there are so many ducks! ;)
I'm posting all of the .gif files here in case anyone else is interested. Feel free to take them if you want to "housify" your journal.
If you want the .ico files, just let me know and I'll upload them in a zip file, because it's impossible to upload single .ico files at Imageshack. You can find smaller versions of some icons here.
Please credit, if you use them. Thanks!

EDIT:
I just noticed that my individual LJ user and community symbols are displayed correctly in Firefox, but don't show up at all in my Internet Explorer! The tutorial I used stated that it might not work with older browsers, but my IE isn't that old, seriously! So, could you please let me know, which browser you're using and if you see the standard icons or a Vicodin bottle/three pill bottles here: london_fan and house_cuddy
Thanks for your feedback! I seriously don't know why the code apparently works for IE 6, but not for IE 7, but I gave up trying to understand Microsoft a long time ago! Solved!
