Ghosts
On Saturday night as the drinks flowed, the talk around the table moved on to a dinner party favourite: ghosts!
As we all live in 140-year-old houses, it was appropriate and kind of inevitable.
Peter and Sim said that their house is the very first place where they feel that there's a nice atmosphere; the flat where they used to live before (I think it was in a converted Victorian house) was haunted and Sim hated it: when her husband was away, she would have a girlfriend coming to stay at night.
Neil's grandmother could "see" spirits and Adrian's grandmother was a medium (and my mother-in-law still has some of the "gift").
