In the week that has passed since my last post:
- we got the tree in the back garden pruned
- we were invited out to dinner by Michael
We went to an Eritrean restaurant at the Oval
(This was my meal - you tear up the flat bread and eat with your fingers... the bread called injera is slightly sour and as it looked a bit like tripe I didn't quite finish it. Adrian played safe and ordered cottelletti i.e. breaded chicken escalopes; I assume from the name that the dish may have Italian origin - Eritrea was an Italian colony).
- they came to install cable TV (Virgin) as it had become impossible to watch Freeview
- we had Sorrel (the chef of Garden Museum's café) and her husband Pete round for dinner (we all had a very nice time)
- we went to see the Man Ray exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery
which we really enjoyed
- Adrian got his fundraising kit for Marie Curie Cancer Care
(the real daffodils were not part of it!)
- we have tried to discourage (with mixed results) the fox from visiting by using 'Scoot fox repellent'
