Slovenia - Day 3 (A day in paradise)
Tomaz (paterson_si) and Igor picked us up at around 11 am and drove us to a beautiful corner of their country.
The first stop was the idyllic Lake Bohinj
Imagine snow-capped mountains, crystal clear water... hang on, just have a look at the photos! (which don't do it justice)
Reflections:
Second stop was the equally lovely but more built-up Lake Bled with its castle perched on a cliff top and the picturesque church on the island (the only Slovenian island, Tomaz said).
The famous cream cake!! (and it did live up to the hype. It was delicious!)
Back in Ljubljana, after a little rest, Adrian and I walked up to the castle just in time for sunset
