Last Thursday was a very busy day at the Garden Museum, it was the Chelsea Flower Show across the river in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea all week, so we had lots of "out-of-town" visitors coming to see us. There is also an exhibition open at Lambeth Palace next-door to us too. Earlier in the week, as part of the "Chelsea Fringe" festival there was a "Disco" party one evening in the museum, and some rather eye-catching red tulips had been installed... apparently they look fabulous illuminated at night.
in the garden, along with the 17thC inspired Knot Garden, Captain William Bligh's tomb and the Tradescant's tomb
...and inside encircling the main pillars
and some rather unusual "Jubilee" bunting made of fresh flowers ......not the easiest thing to keep watered !
