Ship of Destiny

man, did I feel the pressure of finishing this book!
this semester didn't give me much enthusiasm to read for my own pleasure
but as I've finally managed to force aburah into first reading the farseer trilogy and now also the liveship trilogy
she really caught up fast!

soooooooo
yeah, shit hit the fan pretty hard in this last installment and I really didn't like certain uh...plot-points...
just...because
then again it was very well handled and reflected upon from many different points of view
(some of which I again found cringeworthy...but maybe only because these opinions were very realistic)
so I guess I can be content with how it all went down afterall

I really liked how everything got revolved in one way or another at the end
I don't really see any loose plot threats left apart from questions/motifs/themes that are clearly going to be further addressed in the tawny man trilogy!

interestingly and contrary to my expectations I feel content to leave the liveship trilogy behind and return to a 15 years older fitz
I remember that leaving the farseer trilogy behind was really hard for me and I almost wanted to skip the liveship trilogy to immediately return to fitz's story (what a dumb idea in hindsight!)

the farseer and the liveship trilogy are quite different in many ways but I love how you do feel that it is the same world and how knowledge from one series adds so much to the other (from farseer to liveship as well as the other way round, the latter arguably more than the former!)
A+++ worldbuilding

ALL MY OTPS ALL MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS! <333
goodbye liveship trilogy, hello tawny man trilogy!

books, liveship trilogy, rant
