Whelp, survived Irma, got missed by Jose, watching Maria warily, but looks to be sideswiping us at this time.
Watch, I'll get to eat those words.
Casualties of the storm: 1 tree branch ( did NOT impact the house), a metric fuckton of shingles (insurance/roofing guys coming our way on Thursday), and my Mac Mini.
Granted he has been dying since I put the current OS on (Sierra? I don't know any more that's how little I was able to use it.), but the power blinking several times during the storm was clearly the final nail in the coffin.
Yes, I have time machine so I technically haven't really lost anything, and all the bigger stuff had been saved on my externals (yes, more than one).
Since everything aside from the hard drive appears to be fully functional I've chosen to replace the drive as opposed to the entire computer. A brand spanky new SSD is en route, just need to install it, format it, and make time machine talk to it and all should be well.
It'll be nice having PS running at speed again. (You have no idea how long it took to do those simple edits on the pics I posted.)
I've joined the Small Fandom Bang again and will be writing I-Man. I may also do NaNo this year and finish my MCU trilogy (These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends) story, however it looks like that monster may be getting a complete rewrite. Oh wells. Who wants a bright hopeful story anyway, amiright?
