You could also submit pieces of stories you've written... see if there's any editorial web-work to be found. You also have loads of experience with web-site building... so what if you're self-taught?! That's a plus to many potential employers! It means you're willing to learn, are intelligent (shut up, woman, I don't wanna hear it) and versatile enough to work on multiple tasks and venues at the same time. And of course your skill at multi-tasking... definitely not something to say 'feh' over - I can't multitask for shit most days!
So, some positive points as my way of kicking you in the butt to get that resume together, hm? And you definitely can include your efforts with the VS as well as being an IMMP.
