City of Manchester Stadium
This is probably the most specific thing I've asked, but I sure hope someone knows b/c google is giving me nothing.
Does anyone know what was on the plot of land in 1973 where the City of Manchester stadium currently stands? Was it pasture? Businesses? Homes? The stadium was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
And, the more important question--would it be feasible for a pub to be right across the street? I've seen a picture of the stadium in present day, and looks to be out in the middle of nowhere...
