SOOOO EXCITED! needskerries December 26 2009, 20:45:43 UTC
Malin leaned back in the armchair which she had dragged all the way from the other side of the living room to the window. She was absolutely exhausted; she had practically lived at the hospital these last few weeks. She had only come home to sleep and eat occasionally and went back to work again. A lot of people seemed to be sick with cold, so she had to fill in for several nurses at the same time. Relaxing a bit seemed like a good idea right now. It was New Year's Eve, too, which gave her a good reason to lie down for a while and just enjoy her time without Tino ( ... )

The sweet smell that enfolded Tino immediately after he stepped inside was one of which forced many memories to the surface from within him. Blurry pictures of cramped flats with him laying on the couch, drunk out of his head and people smoking inside, the air full of smoke that smelled nothing like the normal tobacco. It had taken a while until he had connected the dots and found out that his friends had been smoking weed at those times, even though after he questioned them about it afterwards, it appeared that luckily he hasn't ever done it himself ( ... )

Malin's eyes opened wide and she let out a quiet yelp, almost dropping the joint she was holding between the fingers of her right hand. Tino's voice had completely surprised her, she hadn't heard him coming home. She had assumed he would be out partying and having fun since it was New Year's Eve and such, but apparently the man didn't have as many friends as she had thought. Malin's neck clicked as she quickly turned around to take a look at Tino, and she raised her left hand to rub the back of her neck slowly ( ... )

"Malin..." Tino breathed out again, taking another step closer. "You..."

He wasn't sure what to say. As if this scene wasn't shocking enough for him already, Malin's reaction had caught him off guard as well. It would've been actually kind of comforting if she had jumped up, cursed some and said something like "What the hell are you sneaking up to me like that for?!". But no, she just sat there and looked at him with half lidded eyes, humming and blowing the smoke at his face.Waving his hand in front of his face to get rid of the smoke, Tino warily sat down on the little stool next to the armchair and licked his dry lips, head full of thoughts going left and right and crashing with each other until only a pig pile of useless mush was left and Tino still didn't know what to do next. The thought of calling a police was dismissed as soon as he thought about it, since he didn't want to cause any trouble for Malin, and that call would probably end up making her lose her job, so that was a no-no. And now she was talking about ceilings and ( ... )

"It's a very nice regular white ceiling," Malin said and fell silent for a while, pouting slightly at Tino's questions. Everyone was always asking for reasons. Was it any of Tino's business, really? And: he didn't think she would do this? Hah, what bullshit. She was 100% sure Tino could imagine almost anything of her; she had done so much to ruin his image of her that it would be a disappointment if he couldn't. She turned to look at the man again - Tino looked somehow shocked, like someone had punched him in the face. Why, she wanted to ask. Why are you shocked?"What does it look like I'm doing?" Malin finally asked, rolling her eyes, and avoiding answering the latter question. "Are you blind or what?" She offered the joint to Tino and winked, leaning in a bit closer to him to poke his cheek. "Why so serious, Tino, my dear? Take some. It'll help you relax. It's not good to be tense on New Year's Eve ( ... )

Mumbling a quiet "I'm not blind..." before pushing Malin's hand away gently, Tino smiled sadly and shook his head. "No, thank you. I have my-umm.." Pointing at the direction of the front door, he stood up and turned around just when Malin started to marvel at the fireworks. Ah, what should I do now..? Walking to where he had left his bag, Tino lifted it up and went to the kitchen, walking through the livingroom and glancing at his roommate who sat by the window, smiling at the different colours exploding on the sky. ...Well... At least she seems to be happy.Emptying most of the bag's insides to the fridge, Tino took one bottle Jack Daniels with him as he returned to the livingroom and sat back down on the stool. "I hope you know what you're doing..." He sighed, opening the bottle and taking a long gulp straight out of it ( ... )

Malin blinked as she turned to look away from the blinding lights in the sky - the colors were starting to hurt her sensitive eyes -, inhaling yet more smoke into her lungs. "Sure I know what I'm doing," she said then, smirking at Tino. "I've been doing this since I was a kid, trust me. You don't need to worry~"

It was a pity Tino was only interested in his alcohol, she thought absent-mindedly, and added to her thought, there's something missing now, and then she suddenly sprang up from the armchair after realizing what it was. She almost tripped over the coffee table, but she didn't actually fall; she stumbled to regain her balance again, and laughed at her own clumsiness ( ... )

Tino almost choked on his whiskey. Since she was a KID?! The mere thought sounded horrible. Sure, he had started drinking alcohol pretty early but he hadn't been a child. Then he got something else to think about when Malin suddenly jumped up and almost tripped, causing Tino to make a panicked movement before he noticed that she got her balance back. Sighing in relief, he put a hand over his heart and closed his eyes. I REALLY need to re-

His thoughts were interrupted by the sudden and LOUD attack of music against his eardrums, and he yelped out loud, almost dropping the bottle he was holding. What the-..?

Opening his eyes and turning to look at Malin, Tino's jaw dropped once again. Malin was spinning so wlidly Tino was afraid she'd crash against the stereos and hurt herself, and she was laughing like there was no tomorrow. That drug was really something ( ... )

Malin pouted and shook her head, pulling Tino up from the chair against his will and dragging him to the middle of the living room, ignoring his protests. She was certain that Tino was telling the truth and he wasn't a very good dancer, but it didn't matter right now. She was in a good mood and she wanted to have fun. Trying to dance with someone who didn't know how could be fun too.

"No, I'm serious. I want to dance, and you're the only one in this apartment besides me - unfortunately, but I guess I can't help it." She eyed the bottle in Tino's hand and reached out her own hand. "I don't usually drink alcohol. But I think I can make an exception since the decade's changing and all. If you don't mind...?"

She raised her look at Tino's face and frowned, narrowing her eyes slightly. She hadn't noticed his eyes before... "Your eyes are different. I've never seen that shade in eyes before this," she noted absent-mindedly.

It was funny that even though Tino's physical strenght probably surpassed Malin's by far, he somehow couldn't bring himself to grab onto the armchair to prevent her from dragging him with her to the center of the room. He was glad he had had the sense to give Flower-Egg to Berwald for today, since he hated when her girl had to see him drunk.

"Ah, um, but.. wait-..!" Stuttering out weak protests, Tino stood and felt his ears and face turn wildly red as he started to feel increasingly embarrassed while the stereo just continued playing Ackent's "Kylie". It was one of Malin's cd's, because there was no way Tino would have something like this in his personal collection.

"Ah, s-sure..." he said, giving her the bottle he had been holding. I have to drink all of that within the next minute if I want to survive out of this without feeling humiliated afterwards..Blinking at Malin's remark about his eyes, Tino touched the corner of his eye and smiled a bit, still blushing madly. "Yeah, I know... They're almost a bit violet, don't you think ( ... )

Malin took the bottle and lifted it to her lips, bending her neck back a bit while drinking some. She coughed as she handed the bottle back to Tino, the unfamiliar taste of whiskey burning her throat. She wasn't used to alcohol, she usually avoided it like plague. "Mmm, yeah," she said, licking whiskey off her lips. "It's peculiar. Very fascinating, though."

Then she paid more attention to the rest of Tino's face and smirked, pointing a mischievous finger at Tino. "You're blushing," she pointed out, laughing slightly. She had noticed that the man blushed easily even in normal situations, but she would never get tired of teasing him about it. "Why on earth? Are you worried about dancing?" She pinched Tino's cheek and clicked her tongue. "You will never get a girlfriend like that."

She laughed and twirled around, shooting a challenging look at Tino over her shoulder while beginning to move in time with the music. "It's not so hard. Just shake those hips!"

Taking the bottle back gratefully, Tino immediately downed probably third of the whole bottle in one go, throwing his head back while doing so and hissing afterwards at the burning in his throat, turning back to look at Malin just in time to see Malin lick her lips and call his eyes fascinating. Why was she acting so... like that. It made Tino just blush harder and he wasn't even sure why.

Apparently Malin had noticed that too since she startd to tease him about it, grabbing his cheek. That definitely didn't help. "I don't need a girlfriend.." he mumbled, watching Malin as she twirled further away from him, swallowing hard when she started to dance and obviously threw a challenge at him with that look. Oh dear...Lifting the bottle back to his lips, Tino forced himself to drink and drink until his mouth burned so hard he had to stop to cough, holding his throat. At least he finally started to feel the effect, his eyes feeling funny and his mood lightening slowly, his blush starting to disappear. Looking up at the brunette, Tino sighed ( ... )

Tino really seemed nervous. Malin wondered if he really didn't have any faith in his dancing skills or if she was the one causing discomfort. Watching as Tino devoured more alcohol to gather courage made Malin raise her eyebrows, and she pursed her lips. Was it that bad to dance with her, really?

However, Malin had to stifle her laughter behind her hand at first when Tino finally seemed to dare to dance, but she didn't really even try to hide it - she was grinning amusedly at Tino while moving to dance closer to him. "Yeah, like that," she said before closing her eyes and just enjoying the sensation which the music, colorful lights coming from outside, drugs, and the feeling of being close to someone else brought. "We can get into the groove, I can watch you move...," she hummed along with the lyrics ( ... )

Tino wasn't sure if he had heard what Malin said so he just nodded, hoping it was the correct answer. Dancing was apparently a good way of getting the alcohol to move through his veins faster, because only after a minute of doing this Tino had to really put some effort in keeping himself balanced. Opening his eyes, he looked at Malin and noticed that while he had kept his eyes closed, she had somehow managed to lose clothing. Feeling slightly dizzy, Tino slowed down and moved towards the coffee table, sitting down on it and reaching for his bottle, panting slightly and wiping his forehead. When had this room turned so hot?

Glancing at the gardigan on the armchair, Tino decided to follow Malin's example, taking another sip out of the whiskey bottle before putting it down and pulling the hoodie he still had on over his head with some difficulties and throwing it on the floor, revealing a Children Of Bodom T-shirt. He then leaned back against his hand on the table and stared at Malin with unfocused eyes while she danced. She's good... ( ... )

The song changed to a slower one - it was Milow's "Ayo technology" that was playing in the background now, and Malin paused to get used to the new rhythm and look at Tino with raised eyebrows as he took off his hoodie and lifted the whiskey bottle to his mouth to drink even more, for reasons unknown. She rolled her shoulders slightly; she hadn't even noticed how tense she had been before this night, work was stressing her more than she had thought ( ... )

Or maybe it wasn't that good idea after all. It made Tino blush even more and that wasn't usually a good sign.

But he couldn't back down now.

Swallowing, he wrapped his other arm around Malin's waist and grabbed her hand with his own, pulling her against him and trying not to look down even if he wanted to be sure where his feet were going because if he did that, he'd just get a eyefull of Malin's cleavage, and that would be kind of distracting. Instead he looked up into her eyes and swallowed again at the teasing smile. It was as if his lacking skills were put under a test. Courage..!Starting to lead this weird dance that didn't quite resemble anything he had danced before, Tino frst felt amazed when he didn't step on her toes immediately, and then he actually felt himself starting to relax slowly. It wasn't so bad after all. Eye's half closed and mouth moving subtly, counting the rythm silently in his head, he felt Malin's body press slightly against his. The amount of fireworks in the sky outside was only increasing, flashing all ( ... )
