WHO: Tino and Malin WHEN: 31st December [Thursday Evening] (LOOK INTO THE FUTURE) WHERE: Centralia Apartments. WHAT: I celebrated the New Year's Eve~ But then I got high~~~
Tino almost choked on his whiskey. Since she was a KID?! The mere thought sounded horrible. Sure, he had started drinking alcohol pretty early but he hadn't been a child. Then he got something else to think about when Malin suddenly jumped up and almost tripped, causing Tino to make a panicked movement before he noticed that she got her balance back. Sighing in relief, he put a hand over his heart and closed his eyes. I REALLY need to re-
His thoughts were interrupted by the sudden and LOUD attack of music against his eardrums, and he yelped out loud, almost dropping the bottle he was holding. What the-..?
Opening his eyes and turning to look at Malin, Tino's jaw dropped once again. Malin was spinning so wlidly Tino was afraid she'd crash against the stereos and hurt herself, and she was laughing like there was no tomorrow. That drug was really something.
When she suddenly collapsed back to the armchair and grabbed Tino's hand. It took a while for him to realize what she was asking and when he did, he quickly shook his head and laughed nervously. "Oh, no..! I'm not a very good dancer and I'm not yet drunk enough to..."
Malin pouted and shook her head, pulling Tino up from the chair against his will and dragging him to the middle of the living room, ignoring his protests. She was certain that Tino was telling the truth and he wasn't a very good dancer, but it didn't matter right now. She was in a good mood and she wanted to have fun. Trying to dance with someone who didn't know how could be fun too.
"No, I'm serious. I want to dance, and you're the only one in this apartment besides me - unfortunately, but I guess I can't help it." She eyed the bottle in Tino's hand and reached out her own hand. "I don't usually drink alcohol. But I think I can make an exception since the decade's changing and all. If you don't mind...?"
She raised her look at Tino's face and frowned, narrowing her eyes slightly. She hadn't noticed his eyes before... "Your eyes are different. I've never seen that shade in eyes before this," she noted absent-mindedly.
It was funny that even though Tino's physical strenght probably surpassed Malin's by far, he somehow couldn't bring himself to grab onto the armchair to prevent her from dragging him with her to the center of the room. He was glad he had had the sense to give Flower-Egg to Berwald for today, since he hated when her girl had to see him drunk.
"Ah, um, but.. wait-..!" Stuttering out weak protests, Tino stood and felt his ears and face turn wildly red as he started to feel increasingly embarrassed while the stereo just continued playing Ackent's "Kylie". It was one of Malin's cd's, because there was no way Tino would have something like this in his personal collection.
"Ah, s-sure..." he said, giving her the bottle he had been holding. I have to drink all of that within the next minute if I want to survive out of this without feeling humiliated afterwards..
Blinking at Malin's remark about his eyes, Tino touched the corner of his eye and smiled a bit, still blushing madly. "Yeah, I know... They're almost a bit violet, don't you think?"
Malin took the bottle and lifted it to her lips, bending her neck back a bit while drinking some. She coughed as she handed the bottle back to Tino, the unfamiliar taste of whiskey burning her throat. She wasn't used to alcohol, she usually avoided it like plague. "Mmm, yeah," she said, licking whiskey off her lips. "It's peculiar. Very fascinating, though."
Then she paid more attention to the rest of Tino's face and smirked, pointing a mischievous finger at Tino. "You're blushing," she pointed out, laughing slightly. She had noticed that the man blushed easily even in normal situations, but she would never get tired of teasing him about it. "Why on earth? Are you worried about dancing?" She pinched Tino's cheek and clicked her tongue. "You will never get a girlfriend like that."
She laughed and twirled around, shooting a challenging look at Tino over her shoulder while beginning to move in time with the music. "It's not so hard. Just shake those hips!"
I KEEP REFERRING TO TINO AS A "SHE"find_a_finDecember 28 2009, 00:33:07 UTC
Taking the bottle back gratefully, Tino immediately downed probably third of the whole bottle in one go, throwing his head back while doing so and hissing afterwards at the burning in his throat, turning back to look at Malin just in time to see Malin lick her lips and call his eyes fascinating. Why was she acting so... like that. It made Tino just blush harder and he wasn't even sure why.
Apparently Malin had noticed that too since she startd to tease him about it, grabbing his cheek. That definitely didn't help. "I don't need a girlfriend.." he mumbled, watching Malin as she twirled further away from him, swallowing hard when she started to dance and obviously threw a challenge at him with that look. Oh dear...
Lifting the bottle back to his lips, Tino forced himself to drink and drink until his mouth burned so hard he had to stop to cough, holding his throat. At least he finally started to feel the effect, his eyes feeling funny and his mood lightening slowly, his blush starting to disappear. Looking up at the brunette, Tino sighed and smiled a bit, putting the bottle carefully on the coffee table before taking a step towards her, inhaling deeply.
"Alright... Alright!"
And with that, he threw his hands in the air and started to dance. If it was something you could call dancing. It was amateurish and a bit ridiculous looking, but at least he moved clearly to the music, naturally having a good grasp of rythm. Closing his eyes, Tino banged his head slightly, trying to stop being embarrassed and concentrating on getting drunk.
Tino really seemed nervous. Malin wondered if he really didn't have any faith in his dancing skills or if she was the one causing discomfort. Watching as Tino devoured more alcohol to gather courage made Malin raise her eyebrows, and she pursed her lips. Was it that bad to dance with her, really?
However, Malin had to stifle her laughter behind her hand at first when Tino finally seemed to dare to dance, but she didn't really even try to hide it - she was grinning amusedly at Tino while moving to dance closer to him. "Yeah, like that," she said before closing her eyes and just enjoying the sensation which the music, colorful lights coming from outside, drugs, and the feeling of being close to someone else brought. "We can get into the groove, I can watch you move...," she hummed along with the lyrics.
She was feeling dizzy and warm already - she was wearing her new cardigan, after all, and it was beginning to get too hot in this room to use it. She paused for a short while to unbutton the cardigan and throw it to the armchair, revealing a blue tank top, before joining Tino again.
Tino wasn't sure if he had heard what Malin said so he just nodded, hoping it was the correct answer. Dancing was apparently a good way of getting the alcohol to move through his veins faster, because only after a minute of doing this Tino had to really put some effort in keeping himself balanced. Opening his eyes, he looked at Malin and noticed that while he had kept his eyes closed, she had somehow managed to lose clothing. Feeling slightly dizzy, Tino slowed down and moved towards the coffee table, sitting down on it and reaching for his bottle, panting slightly and wiping his forehead. When had this room turned so hot?
Glancing at the gardigan on the armchair, Tino decided to follow Malin's example, taking another sip out of the whiskey bottle before putting it down and pulling the hoodie he still had on over his head with some difficulties and throwing it on the floor, revealing a Children Of Bodom T-shirt. He then leaned back against his hand on the table and stared at Malin with unfocused eyes while she danced. She's good...
Smiling, Tino swayed a bit and blushed again when the next idea hit him. He raised the bottle on his lips one last time, emptying it and then stood up, wiped his hands to his shirt, and walked to her, tapping her shoulder. "I'm better at dancing with a partner!"
It wasn't completely true, since it only applied to dances like tango and waltz, but it was worth a try, wasn't it?
Sorry, I had dinnerneedskerriesDecember 28 2009, 19:41:20 UTC
The song changed to a slower one - it was Milow's "Ayo technology" that was playing in the background now, and Malin paused to get used to the new rhythm and look at Tino with raised eyebrows as he took off his hoodie and lifted the whiskey bottle to his mouth to drink even more, for reasons unknown. She rolled her shoulders slightly; she hadn't even noticed how tense she had been before this night, work was stressing her more than she had thought.
She shook her head to clear it a bit, and ran her fingers through her hair while slowly starting to move to the music again. The room was spinning and the colors were blending, but she supposed it was just drugs and alcohol causing that. She was feeling cheerful, like she could do anything and the whole world was hers. Tino's next words almost went past her ears, she was completely absorbed in her own hazy world, and she perked up when she felt Tino tap her shoulder.
She smirked when she finally registered Tino's words, and pressed closer to the man. "Really? We'll see about that." She placed her other hand on Tino's arm and the other on his shoulder, moving in time with the music and smiling teasingly at Tino all the while.
! I was just listening to that songfind_a_finDecember 28 2009, 20:28:18 UTC
Or maybe it wasn't that good idea after all. It made Tino blush even more and that wasn't usually a good sign.
But he couldn't back down now.
Swallowing, he wrapped his other arm around Malin's waist and grabbed her hand with his own, pulling her against him and trying not to look down even if he wanted to be sure where his feet were going because if he did that, he'd just get a eyefull of Malin's cleavage, and that would be kind of distracting. Instead he looked up into her eyes and swallowed again at the teasing smile. It was as if his lacking skills were put under a test. Courage..!
Starting to lead this weird dance that didn't quite resemble anything he had danced before, Tino frst felt amazed when he didn't step on her toes immediately, and then he actually felt himself starting to relax slowly. It wasn't so bad after all. Eye's half closed and mouth moving subtly, counting the rythm silently in his head, he felt Malin's body press slightly against his. The amount of fireworks in the sky outside was only increasing, flashing all colours imaginable right into their livingroom through the window. Closing his eyes, Tino sighed.
This brought back some memories from his upper secondary school years. Even though back then, in those parties, the dancing was less dancing and more him holding the girls up when they hanged from his neck, and it usually ended up in drunken make out session. They'd all been young and stupid, but at least he hadn't ever gone further than kissing, which was pretty amazing considering what the others had usually done.
Opening his eyes, Tino glanced at Malin and spoke quiely. "....Want me to go get something to drink?"
I'M IN YOUR ROOM. WATCHING YOU.needskerriesDecember 28 2009, 21:01:48 UTC
Malin didn't close her eyes, not this time. She watched with a curious expression how the colors of the fireworks reflected off the walls, Tino's eyes, and the mirror which was hanging on the wall on the other side of the living room. She leaned on Tino and blinked at the marvellous dance of colors; they appeared quickly and disappeared just as quickly, and the noise outside was terrifying, but Malin could only think that the flashing scale of colors on the wall resembled a rainbow, or perhaps a colorful disco ball. It set a good atmosphere. Blue circling red...
"Wow," she breathed so quietly that it was barely audible, even less so because of the loud music. After a while, she focused her attention again on Tino who was leading the dance and a small smile formed on her lips that glittered with red lip gloss. It had been long since she had danced with anyone - she simply didn't have time to go to clubs anymore - and it felt nice. Even if the person she was dancing with was Tino Väinämöinen who could irritate her to the verge of screaming.
Her thoughts were once again interrupted by Tino, and she snapped back into reality, considering the man's words. No, she wasn't thirsty yet. She could think of other ways to entertain herself...
"That can wait a bit longer," she replied to Tino's question and sent a flirting smile at him while turning around so that her back was towards Tino and starting to move against him, teasing him on purpose. "Or don't you want to dance anymore...?"

Letting out a suprsised noise when Malin turned around, Tino blinked and instinctively put his hands back on her hips, not knowing what else to do with them. "Ah, umm... no, it's not that, I just thought that..." Shutting himself up, Tino shook his head and sighed. "It's not that I don't want to dance, I mean, I still don't like it-I MEAN..!" Tino let go of her hips and ran a hand through his hair, trying to gather his thoughts. "I mean, I'd like to have a drink, and I still don't like dancing too much, but it's not bad with you. I mean, it's actually kind of nice. With you. Right now. Yeah." ...Uh oh
Smiling nervously, Tino looked at her and prayed that she understood what he meant.
You certainly didn't.needskerriesDecember 28 2009, 22:02:24 UTC
Malin raised her eyebrows at Tino's stuttering and finally gave a short laugh, retreating away from him. Okay, then. Tino didn't seem to be affected by her like she would have liked, but what did it matter in the end? She could find other guys to have fun with, and Tino didn't even seem like the kind of guy to make the first move. He was embarrassed easily, he wasn't experienced, and he sometimes was very irritating with his cheerful but submissive attitude. He definitely wasn't for Malin. Such a pity... She had enjoyed dancing with him.
"Nah, I get it," Malin said, sitting down in the armchair again. She crossed her legs and looked pointedly out of the window, resting her head against the soft cushion of the chair. "You don't like dancing. Go get something to drink, then. Bring me some, too."

....Is she angry, or..?
Sighing, Tino gave one glance at her and backed away to the kitchen, opening the fridge and choosing a bottle of champagne he had bought for this occasion. He then took two glasses out of the cupboard and grabbed some ice from the freezer before returning to the livingroom and sitting down on the stool next to the armchair again. "Here, I brought some..." He showed the bottle and put the glasses down on the coffeetable before starting to pull the cork out with his teeth until it popped and the foam started to flow from the bottle on Tino's hands and to the floor. "Woah..!"
Shaking his wet hand a bit, Tino smiled embarrassedly at the girl who wasn't even looking at him. "Got a bit messy..." Laughing a bit, he wiped his hands to his jeans and leaned forward, pouring the clear yellowish liquid on the two glasses and offering the other one to Malin.
You didn't see anything.needskerriesDecember 28 2009, 23:31:46 UTC
Malin slowly turned around and sighed when she saw Tino struggling with the champagne bottle. This reminded her of the incident when he had dropped his coffee cup to the kitchen floor - for reasons unknown, Malin had never found out why exactly that had happened - and she had had to patch him up. "Ever so clumsy, I see," she chuckled, smiling amusedly at Tino.
She took the glass Tino offered to her, muttering a quiet thank you, but put it down on the coffee table almost immediately. Malin couldn't stand mess, so she stood up and walked casually to the kitchen to get a towel so she could wipe the floor. She was feeling lightheaded, and her steps were light as well - her way of walking right now could be seen as almost bouncing. She grabbed a towel and returned to the living room, bending down to dry the foam of champagne off the floor.
At the same time she happened to give Tino a good view of her cleavage - completely accidentally, of course. "You think so?" she asked, tossing her hair over her shoulder, as she stood up again. "Thanks. You're not the worst yourself. Some practice, and girls will be running after you."

Pressing himself against the wall behind him and holding his hands up in a way that almost said; "I didn't touch anything!", Tino stared up at Malin and blinked slowly before he could comprehend what she had said. "Huh...? Oh, really? You think so...? Gee, thanks, even though I don't think any boobs-GIRLS will ever come running after me even if I could dance, you know, so-..." ....Uhh
Hoping Malin didn't hear his unfortunate Freudian slip, Tino stood up and held out his hand. "I can take that." He motioned towards the towel and rubbed the back of his neck with his other hand, avoiding Malin's eyes.
It's all in your head.needskerriesDecember 30 2009, 14:40:03 UTC
The corners of Malin's lips twitched upwards, and she chuckled at Tino's rambling. The guy was so easy to mess with, she didn't even have to do anything too radical and he was already freaking out. It was certainly amusing to see him panic over a little glimpse of boobs - what kind of a man was he? Had he never been with women, or what? Malin handed the towel to him, pursing her lips.
"Are you gay, then?" she asked innocently, looking as clueless as possible as if nothing had happened. Time for the 'I have done nothing' act. "Maybe it's because you want boys to be running after you, not girls. Or do you like what you see?"
She posed slightly, tilting her head and smiling in a flirting manner.
