"It's no trouble at all," Toris assured her casually, taking in the state of her workshop with ease, after all, his was no better really. It seemed to be something most mechanics and tinkerers shared in common. "Besides, it's nice to get out for a little bit, feels like I've been stuck in the shop for far too long." He probably had been, tending to get stuck and focused on his work rather than the outside world. His few connections being those who came in search of his services. Regardless, it could get a little tiring after a while.

Dropping his tools on a nearby desk he followed her gaze and studied the print approvingly with an eye set firmly on the detail. Aircraft may have not been his greatest strength, but all mechanics (one way or another) linked to each other in some way in their most basic form. She'd done an excellent job and he could appreciate that dedication and work that must have been put into it.

"She's beautiful" He told the blond with a small smile. Most of the time it was a ship that was called a 'she' but he had no doubt Lili would finish and that this future vessel would be something remarkable indeed.

"So what can this mere Tinkerer do to help?" He asked, his smile turning into a more teasing nature.

A small, light blush flitted across Lili's face at the compliment. Praise for her ship may as well have been praise for her herself; at least in her mind. Her body shifted its way farther into the room and towards the desk that she had previously been stationed at, her eyes still on the sketch. Brushing her hair behind her ear, Lili smiled almost approvingly. "Thank you. I am glad that someone has noticed. She has been the subject of...hopefully some of my best work." After a brief moment she added,"And I know she can be better."

The mechanic turned back towards Toris, then glancing towards the tools he had laid on her desk. "Ah, y-you're creations have been very helpful to me in the past...I'm hoping that you could take a look at something I've thought of." Her green eyes went blank for a moment as she searched through her memory banks, calculating which of her plans would have the greatest chance of success.

As if a light-bulb had lit up above her head, Lili moved quickly towards a black, leather bound notebook that sat on the couch. The book was soon picked up as her fingers began sifting through the pages, attempting to find her next great plan. Stopping for a moment, she looked back up towards the tinkerer. "O-oh, and how have you been, Toris?"

Pausing at the question, Toris didn't exactly know how to answer. Strangely enough it'd been a long time since anyone had bothered to ask and actually cared about the answer. And, frankly, life had been increasingly difficult as of late. What with Raivis hounding him, Dismas on his case, and so many other things besides, he'd been finding it hard to concentrate on anything, let alone his well being.

With a slightly strained smile he finally answered what should've been an easy question, "I've been...alright." Hoping she wouldn't catch the blatant lie...or at least be polite enough to ignore it.

"How about yourself?" he asked quickly after, not leaving that to chance.

The slightest hint of a smile graced Lili's face at the hesitation in his answer. She may have been a part of the military that did not interact with people much, but she could tell when someone was hiding something that they would rather not talk about. Deciding against pursuing the matter, she continued to skim through the pages. After just a few seconds, her fingers landed on a page littered with random sketches and side-notes. A shabby charcoal pencil soon appeared in her hand as she began to jot a few words onto the page.

"I suppose I have been fine as well. Busy though; which is okay. At least I am working with machines most of the day." She recognized how pathetic that sounded by the time the complete thought had exited her mouth and an even deeper blush appeared. Lili lived in a world surrounded by metal, gears and steam instead of people, and she preferred it that way. And to her, that was sad.

"I understand the feeling." Toris said, nodding in agreement, after all he did about the same. "I really only deal with people when they want something from me, but money has to be made somehow, right?" It was more or less a retorical question as Toris examined the rest of her work. Scattered in places in reminded him of his own shop and it made him feel at home in some small way.

Lili chuckled slightly as she continued making notes all placed around what seemed to be a design or diagram of some random parts. Every few moments the mechanic would look up while Toris was speaking, mostly to ensure him that she was still paying attention. It was a feat in it of itself seeing as how Lili often shut people out when she was busy with the tech. Most people would be bored with the mechanics of it all anyway.

"And here I thought I was the only one who found solace in my work. People can be so...spontaneous sometimes. While Skybreaker on the other hand, works like clockwork." She knew this was the exact reason for her lack of friends. Pausing for a moment, Lili looked up just in time for her clock to strike two, eliciting a brief but sudden appearance of a little brass, mechanical bird from a small chamber above the hands. "Although, I suppose a little spontaneity never hurts."
