Dropping his tools on a nearby desk he followed her gaze and studied the print approvingly with an eye set firmly on the detail. Aircraft may have not been his greatest strength, but all mechanics (one way or another) linked to each other in some way in their most basic form. She'd done an excellent job and he could appreciate that dedication and work that must have been put into it.
"She's beautiful" He told the blond with a small smile. Most of the time it was a ship that was called a 'she' but he had no doubt Lili would finish and that this future vessel would be something remarkable indeed.
"So what can this mere Tinkerer do to help?" He asked, his smile turning into a more teasing nature.

The mechanic turned back towards Toris, then glancing towards the tools he had laid on her desk. "Ah, y-you're creations have been very helpful to me in the past...I'm hoping that you could take a look at something I've thought of." Her green eyes went blank for a moment as she searched through her memory banks, calculating which of her plans would have the greatest chance of success.
As if a light-bulb had lit up above her head, Lili moved quickly towards a black, leather bound notebook that sat on the couch. The book was soon picked up as her fingers began sifting through the pages, attempting to find her next great plan. Stopping for a moment, she looked back up towards the tinkerer. "O-oh, and how have you been, Toris?"

With a slightly strained smile he finally answered what should've been an easy question, "I've been...alright." Hoping she wouldn't catch the blatant lie...or at least be polite enough to ignore it.
"How about yourself?" he asked quickly after, not leaving that to chance.

"I suppose I have been fine as well. Busy though; which is okay. At least I am working with machines most of the day." She recognized how pathetic that sounded by the time the complete thought had exited her mouth and an even deeper blush appeared. Lili lived in a world surrounded by metal, gears and steam instead of people, and she preferred it that way. And to her, that was sad.

"And here I thought I was the only one who found solace in my work. People can be so...spontaneous sometimes. While Skybreaker on the other hand, works like clockwork." She knew this was the exact reason for her lack of friends. Pausing for a moment, Lili looked up just in time for her clock to strike two, eliciting a brief but sudden appearance of a little brass, mechanical bird from a small chamber above the hands. "Although, I suppose a little spontaneity never hurts."
