She was more than willing to blame that idiot blond pilot of a not-friend of hers for tonight's bad luck. Had it not been for Jones showing up when it was near closing, Emi's nerves wouldn't have been as frazzled as they were now. Nor would she have had to use up a few bullets on the aforementioned idiot when he refused to pay his tab ( ... )

Doing as he was told, Emmanuel worked fast. With the window open, he darted in, footsteps light against the wooden floors.
Until he saw their fallen foe.
"Carajo," Emmanuel couldn't help but curse under his breath, dragging the man's unconscious body to a corner, looking for something to cover him with- disorient him more. Deciding a table cloth would work well enough, he stuffed it all around the man- tangled in it, the noble would have trouble getting up later.
"This is risky," he muttered, wiping his brow. Why had he gotten into this mess, again?

"You think?" Emi hissed back, peaking over the window to stare down at the streets below them. It didn't seem as though they'd been seen, but that didn't mean they could take it easy tonight.

Carefully stepping into the dimly lit room, Emi made sure to keep from making too much noise with the boots she had hurriedly slipped on before leaving her flat. Glancing down at the fallen man, she figured they had at least thirty minutes to an hour before he came to. And with the window now fully open, they could probably flee a bit easier now.

"What are you looking for again?" Emi whispered, glancing around the room.

"Shipment. There's supposed to be a certain rival seeing someone here tonight," he explained. "I have to record the information to code it." He sighed, thinking.
"I was told the information would be in a letter.. and the owner of this house has a drawing room where he usually does his communications. That's what we're looking for."

Ah, well. Field work couldn't really be avoided. He didn't mind, really... It was just risky.
