Brooms are for more than just sweeping

WHO: Emiliana and Katya
WHEN: Friday the 13th, afternoon
WHERE: Downtown somewhere
WHAT: Misunderstandings in the Braginsky family lead to very terrible things.

It had become a weekly ritual of Katya's to go and buy groceries after her morning classes on Wednesdays and Fridays. It was easier really, getting a few small things instead of trying to lug home arms worth full of groceries once every week with no car. She had just gotten off around lunch, walking downtown and window shopping with a pleasant smile. it was so nice out, warm and just sunny enough. She had heard a few things about the day being cursed or some silly nonsense but she didn't believe it! The world was inheriently good and life was wonderful here~! How could anyone believe that a date could be bad?

After a few minutes of buying a few house necessities (including a broom, their old one had... broken somehow), she was walking down the row of cafes and bakeries when she saw Emiliana. Smiling widely, she stopped just across the street, about to call out and wave when she noticed a much taller man seated at the table across from her. Frowning, her grip tightened on the broom and bag of groceries.

Just who was... That? And why were they being so- friendly with each other?

mexico, status: incomplete, what have you done?!, mistaken identity, what am i seeing, ukraine
