Do you like cats?]
The most unseeming text had quickly lead to a conversation on loneliness. Talk of nights alone and the following mornings filling the words on his phone until one of them (it was lost to them both who's situation was who's, the similarities between them and their situation countless) suggested a sort of meet up. A glass of wine was quickly brought up and movies or a late dessert hid the real intent behind their words. For as bold as Francis was, something about asking for a pity date was beyond him. Though... as of recent Veronika seemed to be in the same state as him.
And so that lead to their current situation- Two glasses of Francis' better white wine, both of them reclining on the bar counter and comfortably seated in stools as they watched his two kittens bicker and tussel around on the living room floor. The Frenchman took a sip of his wine, clearing his throat and chancing another glance at Veronika- the clothes she was wearing was truly unfair to keeping himself proper.
"Ze orange one is named Jeanetta.. Ze Scottish Fold is named Lyn," he offered with a small smile, tone somewhat of a doting father. "I must thank you again for making your way over- I 'ave just been 'aving a bit... Well we spoke about it before. It 'as been lonely in Liberty.
