"Alright then," he said, the smirk on his face starting to come through in his voice. "Although I have to admit, I'm a bit curious as to what type of person you would approve of dating your brother, if not someone like Kai."
He won't. He may snicker a bit and grin smugly though, oranje_windmillMarch 30 2011, 08:19:09 UTC
"I would," Willem conceded, "Although luckily it hasn't been something I've had to deal with very often."
Not that boys hadn't been interested in his sweet, cute youngest sister. It was just that Keke tended not to be interested in them all that much, either missing their intentions completely or just wanting their friendship.
"I think it comes naturally when you're the oldest."

"Ah...you're probably right," Sindre allowed, forcing himself not to drop Wilm's gaze. He wasn't sure how much Wilm knew about his history with Valdi, and they had covered enough heavy topics for the evening. If Wilm wasn't going to ask, Sindre wasn't going to mention that he's only known his brother for a year.
"You know, I still have yet to meet your brother," Willem said.
Which was odd, now that he thought about it. He and Sindre and Søren had been friends for quite a while now, but both men had always come over to his apartment when they'd hung out together.
"Alicia and I haven't been close for a while, so I don't think it ever occurred to us to introduce our friends to each other. And Keke is really shy, so it's hard to get her to meet new people."
"Still," Sindre replied. "I would like to meet her sometime." He hesitated a moment, unsure if the subject would be too sensitive. "And Alicia, when she returns."
"If she returns," he says, voice taking on a bit of that dry, weary tone from earlier "then you can meet her." He continues, his voice sounding more normal. "And next time you come over I'll try to introduce you to Keke."
Another pause, this one to take a drink.
"And at some point it would be nice to meet your brother. I've heard a lot about him."
"I'm sorry to keep bringing up your sister," Sindre responded, "but I truly would like to meet Alicia when she returns. So I'll hold you to that."
Breaking off to allow the waiter to deliver their food, Sindre continued a few moments after he left. "You should bring Keke over for dinner sometime," Sindre offered. "We can meet...most of the other's siblings, and they can meet each other as well. It will probably be good for them to do so."
Willem gave a soft, weary smile in acknowledgment of Sindre's words. He let the waiter put their food down in front of him, accepted a drink refill. When the man had left, Willem picked up his fork and resumed conversation.
"I'll see if I can talk Keke into it. Convincing her to meet new people can be difficult."
He took a bite.
"It's pretty good," he said. His lips quirked upwards in a bit of a ruthful smirk. "Too bad this isn't going to work out. It's one of the better dates I've been on in a long while."
Sindre laughed a bit at that. "It's certainly going better than my last attempt at a romantic endeavor. Though next time, let's start without the injured feelings at the start."
Leaning back, Sindre quirked his lips in a grin. "And who knows. Maybe this is just the start of something beautiful."
Truthfully, if Søren hadn't been a part of the equation Willem wouldn't have minded being set up with the Norwegian. He was intelligent and had a snarky snense of humor Willem could appreciate, besides being extremely nice to look at.
But Søren was in the equation, even if Willem wasn't sure how any more other then that Sindre had feelings for the man. And thus the Dutchman would keep his hands to himself.
Except in that one dream....
He pushed away the images his mind conjured up and raised his glass in a salute.
"Alright then," he said, the smirk on his face starting to come through in his voice. "Although I have to admit, I'm a bit curious as to what type of person you would approve of dating your brother, if not someone like Kai."

Narrowing his eyes a bit, Sindre continued. "And don't even try to pretend you won't be just as protective of Keke."

"Though," Sindre realized, "I haven't met your siblings, either."

Touching their glasses together with a quick "Skål!", he drained half his glass in one go. Seems like the evening turned out all right after all.
