WHERE: A diner. You know, where they serve hamburgers and milkshakes and freedom fries.
WHAT: IT'S NOT A DATE. At least, that's what Emiliano thinks.
They had been sitting inside the diner for a good fifteen minutes now, tucked away in one of the more secluded corners of the restaurant as they waited for their food to be ready. Emiliano normally tended to avoid American food with a passion, but, he knew how much his ex-girlfriend enjoyed it. So for now, he would just have to deal.
It was odd. Being with Ivana felt odd now that he had been with Jiwa for about half a year. It was odd, really, if one were to consider how very much in love Emiliano had been when he and the Russian woman had still been together some two and a half years ago. But, he thought with an inward grimace as he took a quick drink of his soda, he didn't necessarily feel terrible about the breakup. Not now. Not after two and a half, almost three, years since they had broken up. Not when he knew how madly in love with Jiwa he was.
Did that make him a terrible person-?
Being here? With his ex-girlfriend? Alone?
Well, it seemed as though Ivana had moved on so perhaps everything really was okay with them now...
Absently, he shoved those thoughts aside as he gave the blond woman a small smile. "It's been a while since we've been able to meet. We've been so busy that-" He gave a slight shrug. "It's nice, really." His fingers brushed against the surface of the table between them. "How are you, though? Have you been practicing all week-?"
